Ironwood Kitchen: A Hidden Gem on Albuquerque's Upper West SideLocated at 5740 Night Whisper Rd NW #250, Albuquerque, NM 87114, on the outskirts of Rio Rancho, Ironwood Kitchen is an easy find off Unser. I stopped in for breakfast this morning and ordered the burrito, which filled the entire plate. By the time I snapped a picture, half of it was already gone! It was smothered in green chili with a side of breakfast potatoes, making for a hearty and satisfying meal.The menu at Ironwood Kitchen is quite eclectic, offering everything from a classic Reuben sandwich to the "Six Guy" burger, green chili stew, and a ham and turkey sandwich. Whether you're here for breakfast or lunch, there's something for everyone, but breakfast is definitely a standout.The interior pays tribute to our fallen heroes in law enforcement and the military, with walls covered in memorabilia--a touching homage that adds a meaningful layer to the dining experience.The chef is super friendly, and the counter staff are just as welcoming. They'll give you a large card after you order, then bring your meal out to you--no need to hover at the counter. The place isn't fancy, but it's clean, cozy, and a great spot to enjoy a meal.

Today we went to Ironwood Kitchen. I was so excited to go today, after looking at the menu online on their website. The prices for the food looked fantastic and like such a fantastic deal... however when we showed up, all the prices for all the items on the menu were at least $3 to $5 more than what their website menu had said. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and honestly it tasted like a fried bologna sandwich. Not that it's a bad thing at all... just unexpected. My husband got a burger which was good, but a little too charred for me. The fries however saved it all... they were freakin delicious. You order when you walk in at the counter and the food is brought directly to your table. The staff was friendly and quick. Refills were free. It was a little warm in there, but we managed to find a spot slightly closer to their vent... though I would say some additions of fans would not hurt at all! Will be back to try something else...

In the process of moving to Rio Rancho. Yet to try Ironwood but am looking forward to it as it is popular and I will be within walking distance. Thought that I would post the current menu w/prices for anyone interested. Pictures of menu are badly out of order. Can't post a review yet but based on recent ones, I am optimistic it will be positive as well.

Another great meal from Ironwood, always has been a to-go place for my familyYears ago during Covid was "to-go-ing"(is that even a word?) thrice weekly.Have since moved miles away but we still crave their foodSuper nice folks always here, they appreciate your business Phone in orders handled very well.Insider tip....Frito Pie, they have an outstanding one here....but it's off-menu...at least that i see.Tip#2....they can separate cold from hot items when packaging so your meal isn't soggy when you get it home....really helps when driving to Bernalillo! I stopped in here for a late lunch. My first visit to this establishment. It is conveniently close to the Rust Medical Center. I had a Reuben sandwich with fries that I would describe as a perfect lunch. The fries were hot out of the fryer, the Reuben was just right. Service was fast, staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Orders are placed at the counter, and it was somewhat refreshing to read the menu off the wall, instead of scanning a QR code . The decor really deserves attention, because it consists of memorabilia and remembrances of military, men and women from New Mexico, many of whom were killed in action. Thus I would describe the atmosphere as comfortable, but also also thought-provoking. Prices are excellent. In fact, to be straightforward I would say that price was very low price for a meal of this quality. I recommend this place very highly, not only for the food, but for the ambience and decor.

I have been coming to Ironwood Kitchen for a while now. What brought me to Ironwood Kitchen was word of their green chile philly cheesesteak! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I am sucker for thinly sliced steak and cheese and then you throw in some green chile! Yum!I now typically visit for breakfast. My go too at the moment is their biscuits and gravy. The biscuit is nice and soft, they are always generous with the gravy and the potatoes are seasoned so well. The whole plate is quite delicious. I haven't been able to venture away from it. The gravy already has lil sausage bits in it, but sometimes I get a side of sausage. I'm only giving 4 stars because a few of the last visits came with an extra long wait, for breakfast, which is typically whipped up pretty quickly. Buy you know the saying, sometimes you gotta wait for a good thing!

Amazing cozy environment, friendly staff, food is always amazing and affordable, but mostly, we love a place that is so catered to the military. Will continue to support these amazing people.

Ironwood kitchen is a good go to spot for breakfast all day and lunch. Solid food for a good price. I had an omelet with red and green Chile. You order at the counter, pick a seat and they bring your food out to you. Service was good and quick on a weekday morning.

Red chili has a great taste. Only protein option to add on the Huevos rancheros was hamburger meat. It was seasoned way too much. We ordered over the phone, fast and easy pickup. I popped in and popped out, can't comment on the ambiance.

I don't say this lightly, but this is hands down the best burger I have ever had. Now add in the freshly cut fries seasoned to perfection? You have the perfect recipe for a meal you WILL remember. When you sit down and take that first bite of you food it's as if your transported into a movie. The decor make you feel like you're in a 1990's classic that just romanticizes the feel of a local, good, and authentic American restaurant. Though this was my first time here the service makes you feel like a known and loved regular. I will one hundred percent be coming back here.
