Everything a gym should be and nothing it shouldn't be. I really like this place. Nothing to cause distraction just get in there and get after it.

If you like lifting free weights, this is the place for you. They have plenty of deadlifting platforms, squat racks, benches, bumper plates for olympic lifts, and a ton more. You also get a key fob so you can go 24/7. And the price is super reasonable for a specialty gym.

Personally, I'd rank the gym 5/5. And since this is a my account, here's why: 24/7 unlimited access (with your membership), they provide chalk, all the weights! bars! And toys for a gym goer, the clientele & trainers & owner Eric are inclusive and encouraging no matter what level athlete you are, and another big draw is the grit of the gym. I have a soft spot in my gym heart for the old school feel of going 'to do work', and this place is no exception.What it's not, and why others may give it 3-4/5, it's not a machine based, glitzy, glamorous gym. It doesn't have a million unnecessary (but sometimes nice) amenities, and cardio doesn't have a strong suit there (and you'll get a few jabs for using the elliptical). Overall, come here to let the beast mode out, or you can't sleep, or however you want to spend your gym time. Just showing up will become addictive similar to wanting to push heavier and heavier weight around.

Was in Albuquerque for business and found this gem. If your looking for a legit place to workout I highly recommend stopping here!

I visited here on the advice of a friend and it was an amazing place. It's easily the best gym space in ABQ if not anywhere. Since they've moved into a larger space I felt motivated to put up this review as I'm very impressed with the great layout of the sport specific equipment, as well as general purpose equipment. If there's a way to really get strong, they've got it.Iron Soul has an incredibly inclusive atmosphere and it's your best bet if you're serious about getting huge. They don't care who you are or where you come from, they really are just interested in where you are going (if where you are going is to swoll town). Feel free to be you, there's plenty of space for you to let the beast out and no there's no judgment here if you drop a weight or 10.My first time here, I was feeling a little under the weather from low blood sugar, like I was gunna pass out, the owner was genuinely concerned and knew something was up (I must have looked pretty pale) and gave me a few sour patch kids, I felt immediately 100x better. I can't tell you how much that meant. Sometimes a little common care and courtesy shows you who people really are.If you're curious about if this is your kind of place, just look at the pictures of it. You should be able to use your best judgment and tell if this is what you're looking for or not. It pretty much is as it looks. A spa this is not, but the price is also not a spa price so in my mind that's a benefit. Take a bubble bath somewhere else if that's what you're looking for.

Crappy gym. Rude people. The owner started yelling at me one morning for no reason. They had a guest instructor for a group class, and I was in the wrong place or something. Not exactly sure what he was angry about. Not a fun atmosphere

Iron soul is a rip off. Save your money. You're better off going to Defined lol. The owner is rude and crass and though the front says they will refund you. The owner will tell you they never refund. Not to mention the things that have been stolen from customers. They keep it all hush and its bad vibes. JS save yourself trouble and money. Go ANYWHERE ELSE.

Outstanding gym. Built for heavy lifting. Look forward to my next trip to Albuquerque as I found my gym there.

Awesome gym! Dropped in while visiting from Vegas. Eric showed me around and was even kind enough to loan me a belt when I realized I forgot to pack mine. Gym has everything you need if you love to lift. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Gym is clean and not packed to the rafters. Bonus: no creepers! Highly recommend this gym.
