I strongly believe I narrowly missed an illegal $1,000+ upcharge by Innovative Auto Solutions (IAS), aka DQ. IAS missed a step clearly required by Honda TSP 16-002 - "CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the starter and rotate the torque converter clockwise one bolt hole". They replaced the starter without rotating the torque converter. It would have taken 5 minutes more to do it right.IAS wanted to charge me $1,000 to correct their mistake - because they would have to remove the transmission (?). I objected - they decided they could do it in 1 hour. I told them I would not pay anything, and do not plan to.I practically did backflips to mention the issue; Honda TSP 16-002. Honda has had this problem since 2013, so these people have probably done many dozens of these. I even provided a copy of the Honda TSP 16-002 before the repair. I mentioned it over and over and over:1. During my initial internet contact2. During my Appointment #1 scheduling3. When arriving for Appointment #14. When picking up the car at Appointment #15. When giving feedback for Appointment #16. During my Appointment #2 scheduling7. When dropping off the car for Appointment #28. I even suggested YouTube videos showing amateur mechanics completing the TSP.IAS repeatedly told me they had to remove the transmission. I was even told, in writing (I still have it and so does IAS), that Honda TSP 16-002 directs removal of the transmission. THE WORD "TRANSMISSION" DOES NOT EVEN APPEAR IN THE HONDA TSP 16-002 DOCUMENT. Bold-faced lie, via email, and I still have it. The transmission was supposed to take 5 or 6 hours to remove and would cost over $1,000. They completed the second appointment in just 1 hour. Did IAS find a way to remove and replace the transmission in 17% of the time?Neither DQ nor the mechanic would come out; they made their desk staff lie to me. Your staff spent 5 to 7 minutes in your office before realizing you were at a doctor's appointment. Suspicious?

I'm loyal when it comes to my mechanics. Having moved from ABQ to Bernalillo, I was still planning on staying with my regular guy. Unfortunately, though good for him, he decided to retire as Covid made things more difficult.Based on yelp and other reviews, I gave Innovative Auto Solutions a call. They got me in quick, communicated well in terms of options I had, and finished sooner than I expected. They even extended a friendly first timers discount that was greatly appreciated.Bo (or Beau) was my point man. Good people, Enjoyed chatting with him and he represents the shop well. So, long story short, I guess I found my new garage!

Top notch experience diagnosing and repairing our car. They explained everything and offered options; no up-selling. Office and mechanic were helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Convenient early drop off and late pickup was great. They also include a nationwide warranty with 3 years or 36k miles along with 1 year roadside option. We are so happy to have a great place for automotive service!

After $2,700 worth of repairs, my car was not fixed. They gave me an estimate for another $1,700. For an older model that I would not have put this much money into. Ironically, Firestone had repaired the same part many years prior successfully. After the $2700 repair, I traded in for a new model and did not recoup those initial charges. People were VERY friendly, helpful, and communicated throughout the process. That's the only reason for the two stars.

replaced transmission the end of last December. I am told by the auto shop that does regular maintenance on my vehicle that the cv axle seal is leaking. I have their printout stating this. cv seal is part of the transmission replacement. Innovative want 178.00 to run a diagnostic then they will decide if it's covered under their warranty. This is unacceptable! diagnostic should be at no charge since they are the ones that replaced the transmission and this seal is part of that process. I am so disgusted that they won't step up and make this right . I would never recommend this place.

We have been taking our cars to Innovative for a number of years and always had a good experience when working with Bo. However, we recently took our van in, and it was extremey stressful and disappointing. This time we worked with Jake, who was incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. It's clear customer service is no longer a priority. After they had our van for 5 weeks, Jake was unconcerned and unbothered by the stress and inconvenience we experienced. His communication was extremely lacking and rude. It became apparent that we were not a priority and our past loyalty was not important when Jake made zero effort at rectifying the concerns we had. They had no interest in prioritizing getting our van back to us or even ginving us a timeline for what we could expect, and after 5 weeks we took it to a different shop and will not do business with Innovative again.

Innovative auto solutions are by far the worst run company I have ever dealt with. There overall lack of knowledge, poor customer service, and lying practices, need to be looked at further by the better business bureau: its run from top/down by employees that have nothing to gain other than being complete assholes. I will not only never take my vehicle there again, but I'll make sure and tell everyone I know how awful they are. upon calling my extended warranty company to find out why it was extra plus my deductible, I found out a guy named Jake refused their recommend parts and wanted to only use their parts thus trying to charge me an extra 600 dollars, this company is a joke and are complete liars who tried to upcharge me for parts. they 100 percent do not look out for the consumer and are doing nothing more than lining their pockets to make a quick buck. you would be better off, watching YouTube videos than to take it to these chumps.

Scheduled appointment for a saturday wheel alignment, one week out, lady was very nice. I work M-F so weekends are my only option. I received reminders, regarding appointment, multiple times leading up to the date/time. Went to drop off vehicle and was told the "alignment guy wasnt in", and that they "would see what they can do and they will let me know". 1.5 hours later I became weary and called to check, and they said, they cant do anything for me. No phone call, nada. This is the short version, people have lives, very disappointing.

Never again will I use this business, my car went in and came out in worse condition than it was. So disappointed because the manager refused to speak to me, blamed me for the problem. Spoke to his front desk people that would go and have to ask him how to respond to my questions. And the worst thing was got a bill for 1479.00 for a car that is now sitting after having to have it towed in the front of my grandsons house. Not even a sorry, nothing !!!

I took my 2009 Maxima to these professionals to get front arm controls, an alignment, and ac recharge completed. However, once they started diagnosing everything, they found out that my engine was having major problems, and they halted the job, and apprised me of the situation. I ended up just getting the ac serviced while I look for a new vehicle. These guys are ethical, they have morals, they are fair with their prices, and they keep you informed every step of the way throughout the process. Many businesses would've attended to what the car was brought in for, did the job knowing I had bigger issues. I really appreciate their honesty. May they be enriched in every area of their lives. BTW, the ac is blowing !
