Impact Jiu Jitsu Albuquerque

While I was traveling for work I wanted to find a place to train and saw that Impact was close to the hotel where I was staying. I had reached out to see if I could do a drop-in and was told that I'd be welcome. Impact's motto is 'Good People. Good Jiu-Jitsu,' and after having visited I wholeheartedly think they live up to it. Rob was teaching the class that evening which seemed to be a mix of experienced and some more experienced beginners and some folks who were had started more recently. He broke down the moves and techniques down enough to be well understood by all levels but still let a lot of time to get a lot of reps in. The evening I stopped in was a nogi class, which is a style I generally avoid because it's a lot of wear and tear on the body. I didn't feel as beat up as I thought I would be, not to say that it wasn't the fast paced game that nogi typically is. What's more there was a focus on stand up that most schools usually avoid. I'd definitely go back to ABQ for another drop in and if I ever end up in ABQ on a more permanent basis Impact would be the place to train.

My wife and I were moving from SoCal to ABQ and I needed to find a new place to train. After searching around the land of Yelp, Impact Jiu Jitsu ABQ was definitely the place I wanted to try out. Benjamin made me feel a sense of welcome before I even started my first day. He called me to answer my questions and make sure I was set up for success from the get-go. Impact Jiu Jitsu ABQ is where I find incredible instruction, a sense of family and community, and incredibly humble people who make training exciting and fun. My kids absolutely love it. My 8 year old son and 7 year old twin daughters can't wait to go each week. They get to learn jiu jitsu from great teachers in a safe environment, and most importantly, I can tell they are learning important life lessons and charachter. Couldn't recommend Impact enough!

I've been at Impact ABQ for the last two months now and I must say this place is amazing! I have been training in jiu jitsu for 4.5 years now and since I've been here, my game has improved to a much tighter and higher level of jiu jitsu. The coaches Ben, Jeff and David are all very good, dedicated coaches and you can tell that it's more than a hobby for them, it's a lifestyle. The business is welcoming to all newcomers and has a very friendly atmosphere, it's really a second family for me. Impact shares the same philosphy as I do, which is to push yourself and train hard yet safe, and train you in a style of jiu jitsu that will not only work in competitions but also in the streets for self defense. VERY solid jiu jitsu here folks. From someone who has been training in martial arts on and off since I was a kid, this place is 100% recommend by me.

This place is a great addition to the Albuquerque jiu jitsu community! Kaethe and Ben are passionate about this venture and have spared no detail in creating a space that is both a cool place to train and to simply hangout. They offer many different class options from adult jiu jitsu, Mma, kick boxing, kids classes, and morning fitness classes. They both have worked countless hours and late nights for us and I personally am grateful for the opportunity to learn from them and will support them however I can!

My daughter has been a part of the kids class now for a few months and she enjoys every minute of the class. The instructors are patient and take their time explaining everything. Owners are welcoming and kind. I would recommend it to everyone. Warm and friendly environment.

I have trained a few times with Ben, I can tell you, he's an absolute champ! He really knows his stuff with BJJ and MT, and he's a great instructor! See you on the mats :)

Incredibly wise and talented staff, helpful, accepting and encouraging! These guys rock, whether it's the kids classes or the night jits classes they are masters of their craft, highly recommended! This gym seems to be what Albuquerque was missing.

As a BJJ black belt that travels a lot for work I'm always doing "drop ins". Impact BJJ ABQ is a great academy along with great instruction. One of the biggest things for me is to show why the position is unfolding or advancing. All the coaches and professors do an amazing job on explaining this. This is the place to come learn and improve.

I am visiting from out of town. Instructors are excellent, everyone was very welcoming, very very good gym. Lots of mat space with all levels of students. I will be back as soon as I get back in town
