I'm originally from Texas and if there is one thing we take seriously that no one else does, it's a pickle snow cone. Don't laugh, now. It's salty, no calories, and pure heaven when done right! And Dakine does it exactly right! Not only that - they are the only place in town that sells the big juicy pickles (and hot pickles) that really make your mouth water!Their snow cones are true shaved ice. They shave it once you order. And you can get it with ice cream for just a tiny bit more. They also offer coffee beverages, nachos, and Hawaiian treats, including gourmet hot dogs. Really and truly, you just can't go wrong here and the price is right on everything!They also sell purified water here. I'm a freakish water snob and the water here is really good! It doesn't have that weird stale taste a lot of bottled water has and is super refreshing!My only "complaint" is that they are closed on Sunday because I need pickle snow cones 7 days a week! Ha! They do have pickle snow cones at Bahama Bucks but it's that nasty fake pickle juice that's sweetened (barf) and Dakine uses the real pickle juice and it is pure heaven!

First, let me start off by saying that shaved ice is wayyyyy bedda than a snow cone (in my humble opinion)...the texture & consistency is so smooth, the flavoring doesn't fall to the bottom, option to add ice cream at the bottom, or cream on top. They use reverse osmosis to purify their water, and make shaved ice from there. Kids cup sizes $1.50...customer service that seriously SHINES in the true spirit of Aloha!! They also serve smoothies, blended coffee drinks, gourmet hot dogs, 100% beef, and the combos look really interesting!!! I definitely would like to try the Habanero surfer or the wasabi surfer next time around!! They serve hoagies, sliders with Hawaiian mac salad, nachos, spam musubi, and pretzels. I saw some super sized cookies available, and even some Hawaiian imports including mustard, coffee, tea, chocolates and macadamia nuts. Bags of shaved or crushed ice also available.It's nice to know their shaved ice has No High Fructose, No Corn Syrup, No Preservatives, Fat Free (Sugar Free available) and Gluten free. They also offer party packages which are so reasonable!!!I ordered the "tango" with cream on top (orange & mango combo) & the kids couldn't decide, so the rainbow was suggested and they were not disappointed ~Locally owned and operated...what a joy it was to meet yet another passionate business owner who loves serving this community.

Sweet and efficient staff! Great deals on shaved ice with a layer of vanilla ice cream underneath!! So yummy!!

I love Dakine! This little Shop serves shaved ice, ice cream, iced coffee drinks, smoothies, hot dogs, chips, candy, pickles, stickers AND it's all inside a water store! They have a flavor for everyone and the shaved ice is nicely shaved and the servings have enough syrup to make your treat nice and juicy. The hot dogs are not your normal hot dog. Different buns, many different flavors, and appearance is not the norm at all!! They have many different water supplies and a refrigerator full of cold drinks. Dakine also has a self serve water station outside. Give it a try nice lil local shop with a hard working hands on owner!

This place was really good! Little place with so much to offer. I got a mint n chip shake. It was amazing, super creamy! My fiancé&daughter got a shaved ice in the flavors cherry, sour apple&blue hawaiian. They tasted amazing! The lady was also very sweet&accommodating. I also got a cookie which the lady asked if I wanted warmed up. Made the cookie taste even more amazing. We live in Tucson, AZ so we stopped here at random, so happy we did!

Every time I come here, I usually forget to check into yelp. That is because I look forward to the yummy cold treat; moreover, the owner and I get talking a lot, and before I know it, my shave ice is done; I'm a content customer driving down the street onto my next errand. Then it isn't until later where I realize I forgot to check in. That's okay. I'll take a picture of my loyalty cards to show you how many items I have purchased here.My usual order to get is a small shave ice with cream. Like clockwork, the owner knows that my older daughter will get a lime one with cream. My younger gal usually choses a different flavor and combination during each visit. Last time she ordered a Frog In The Blender (lime with cherry) with cream. As a really sweet super treat, when I definitely earned a cold one, I will add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to all of our orders. My children know this is really a nice thing, and I get those huge smiles that only the cold can bring. I have also on occasion ordered the food. I like the nachos; there is nothing special about them, but they are served by a special person, so that counts for everything out of the ordinary. I also really like the hot dogs at DaKine. You have to try one, or two, or a few. The owner [right now her name slips my mind] is super. She makes this locally owned jewel sparkle and shine. I love her laugh and smile. She is really a great person. I admire her. Visit her, so you can see her smile from her heart. If I could, I would give this place ten stars (and then some). Bravo DaKine Ice! You brought Hawaii to a desert that needs all the love and ice it can get!

Love this place. Great shave ice and ice cream. And their water is amazing if you want to get bottled water. The owner is a sweetheart and I always enjoy our conversations. Great customer service!!

Great place friendly people! They have authentic masubi on Fridays and Saturday. It's really Dakine brada so clicks da like button bra!

Just drove 30 min to get here. It's Saturday at 230pm and while they should be open they are completely CLOSED! Might be time to update your hours on your website, yelp page, or even your front door if your operating hours have changed.

I love this place! This is my preferred spot for a cold treat. The Hawaiian style shaved ice changed my life. The place is cool, clean, and unbelievably friendly. They also have a lot of other treats that are great. I got coconut cotton candy and dried spiced mango, and they were so amazing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
