Small hole in the wall place. Employees are nice. Ample seating. ~$15. The fried catfish was pretty tasty. The mac and cheese was flavorless. The fries were as well. Overall OK bbq food.

Small business with big taste. Stopped in after reading elite review. Small place with limited seating which makes for easy going ambiance. Service from the register is good. Welcoming and friendly, great food. The brisket sandwich was recommended by the clerk and it did not disappoint. Check it out as it is really "soul food". I recommend the hot bbq sauce.

Good bbq place ! The owner is very nice and respectful told us some history about his southern bbq and etc love this place. It's close by the 40 interstate as well. Thanks again!

CALL TO ORDER! They no longer paeticipate in delivery services and isnt blame them because the services increase prices and take too big a perventage from the business. SO CALL! Thay are SO WORTH IT!My fried chicken livers were ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I salted them tomy liking and they were delicious. I'm enbarrassed to say that i ate the order, which is very large, in one sitting. Oh my! Tastes like home!Please, keep this friendly family business operating. My partner had an order of ribs. His serving fed him two times (and i still got a couple of ribs)Great food. Great service. Items ypu can't get anywhere else.

They close whenever they feel like it. No sign on the door. You cannot leave a message because there is no more space in their answering machine.

Delicious food the brisket, sausage and ribs are a 10:10. The bbq sauce is also really good. I liked original and hot

The prices are ridiculously high for the mediocre food you get at Hot Mess. The food is ok--but there's better barbecue elsewhere. Not sure if the business is struggling or the proprietor has an over appreciation for what is served. But after one visit, I was done.

AI strikes gold again! This time, @hotmessbbq2021 Albuquerque was recommended, and we happily complied! This little gem in a strip mall served up my very first dose of catfish. Seasoned perfectly, it was an immediate party in my mouth, so much so that I peeked into the kitchen to give compliments to the chef, and this seemed to relax the waitress. The Mac and cheese was also delicious! The vibe was really great too! Definite 3.5/5. Looking forward to come back in the future, especially to try the deserts! Hot mess is right! The attitude of everyone working was negitive and the food reflected that as well. Theres a better place to spend your money dont make the same mistake i did!!!

Everything is goodBest Catfish in ABQ. Wife loves their gizzards. BBQ is always tasty.Collard greens are outstanding.
