We arrived at the Santa Ana Star hotel and Casino both starving from the drive from Denver. Not wanting to drive around and eat we were directed to this "sportsbar" which is located in the hotel on the casino level which also hosts the Legends Sportsbook. Lots of tv's to watch while your eating.Started off with sampler combo which was a mistake because it was so much food!!!Came with full size ribs ,killer! Wings, brisket, onion rings , potatoe wedges, and a jalapeño muffin. All items were delicious. Than we recieved our meals which we already knew we weren't going to finish.My wife got the green chili stew which I was forced to try, lol and the pork was so tender that you could smash it with your tongue. I had a green chili burger that also came with potatoe wedges.Our bill including to soft drinks came to just under $55. Which compared to Denver was outstanding We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service. Would definitely recommend

Waited 10 minutes. Flagged someone down and she found the server in the back who appeared about 3-4 minutes later. I ordered beef brisket cheese fries made with steak fries. Let's see what happens next. Well, I got my Coke about a minute later. I got my food 22 minutes later. The fries were very greasy. I just picked off the pieces of burnt ends of beef brisket and basically left the rest untouched. Now I know not to order this next time.

It's been a hot minute since I found myself at the Santa Ana Star Casino. It's crazy how much the place has changed since Covid. I remember going right after they opened it back up and thinking man this place is different without the Mesa Grill and at the time the Cantina was closed with no date on a reopen. Anyways The Stage is gone. They've replaced it with this sports bar and grill. They even moved the sports betting inside this place. The food I'll admit was pretty well portioned. I settled with the bacon mushroom Swiss burger minus the bacon. I'm not too hot about bacon these days lol It came out with potato wedge fries on the side. The burger was nice and juicy, the only thing missing was some condiments. They bring you ketchup and mustard on the side in dipping cups but it would've been nice to maybe have some Mayo in the burger because by itself it was a little dry. Other than that it was good. The wedges were perfectly crispy.The place was pretty nice. Lots of TVs showing sports. Sports book is in there. You can bet on your teams. The service was pretty stellar. They took care of us from start to finish. Ill definitely be back the next time around when I find myself looking to donate some money lol

Had an amazing Strawberry Spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette and threw in some sliced jalapenos which came out amazing with a nice balance of sweet heat!! Oh, it also came with a green Chile cheddar cornbread muffin! The BBQ platter is usually pretty good. But this time the pork ribs were not good. They tasted boiled and burnt. The brisket is good but better a Sandia Sports Bar. The wings are acceptable. Salads aren't bad. The French Dip is only passable. The bartenders are mostly grumpy. But the sports on the TVs is an attraction. The drinks are pricey and can come with an attitude. For cheaper food, head over to the Mesa Grill. So if it's disappointing, at least it didn't cost much. The behavior of the staff could be much better. The food quality could use consistency. But at least you can make sports bets in between sips of your cocktails. Sandia will be a much better bet when they install their sports book.

Lol so bad. So so bad. The ceasar salad with steak was plain and the meat was over cooked and dry. The drink was good, so that's why there are 2 stars. I'm deducting stars for service as well because there was no one to seat me so I took the bar. The menu wasn't explained so I wasn't able to get the special green Chile corn bread, and then I had to wait over 10 minutes to pay. That was the mail in the coffin for meIf you're not staying in the hotel don't bother trying this place. I only did for the convenience and that was literally the only good thing

The restaurant was cute. It's brand new! The service was good! The problem was the food. The coffee was instant coffee...there is no choice on how you want your eggs cooked, because they are powdered (you can only get scrambled). The chicken fried steak was a frozen steak cooked. The gravy was instant. The best thing was the fry bread (which was pre made, but good). You can order a Bloody Mary for breakfast but not a beer. We were excited to try this place, but didn't even eat 1/4 of our meals (and we love to eat)!

slow!! slow!!! slow!!!! This place would be great if their servers actually cared to serve! my wife and I went last weekend and experienced a very slow wait staff. So I went back with buddy and my son today and decided to keep track of the wait times. waited to be seated (lots of open tables) - 12 minutes seated for 14 minutes until we got waters waters came, we said we're ready to order, got hit with "great, I'll be right back!" waited another 8 minutes.. (again, less than half full, not too busy) ordered food - 25 minutes later we were served. waitress said, "plates are hot be careful" (plated were in fact NOT hot) requested the check- waited 12 minutes paid with card- witnessed the waitress serve a table it's drinks, go to the front to talk to the hostess, went back to the bar, pick up a drink and serve it to another table, then walked to the other side to swipe my card. For a total of 17 minutes. all in all.. place just needs better more attentive staff, we'd of happily stayed longer and ordered more food and/or drinks, but didn't feel like the wait was worth it. After two weeks in a row of the same sub-par service, I will not return and recommend people just place their bets and eat elsewhere.

Got the sampler platter...only good thing is did not over eat! Not good at all. Service was good.

Everything about is horrible. Food was expensive and horrible. I try not to be too mean and usually give places the benefit of the doubt but this was the worst burger I've had in recent memory. Lettuce was slimey, burger was overcooked with not a dash of seasoning on it, and the fries were just ok. It was expensive for absolutely no reason. Service was horrible, the host and the server got into a fight in front of us. Just leave the casino and get some decent food.
