We drove from downtown to the alpaca farm for about 30 minutes and wasn't expecting too much out of it. We were hoping that there would be some visitors at the farm already so we won't get pressured to buy something from the gift shop as we'd be the only ones there. When we got there, there were already some visitors in the alpaca pen and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended if you are an animal lover.

Visiting this alpaca farm was so much fun!! Last month, we came here just a day after we attended the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. The owners of this alpaca farm are so genuinely nice and courteous! And they gave us a wonderful and insightful tour about the alpacas, and about how the alpaca wool is used to make socks, scarves, gloves, hats, other kinds of clothing, and handbags! The tour of the alpaca farm is free. And at the end of the tour, the owners take you to their gift shop, where you buy items made of alpaca wool. When we visited, there was one alpaca who was pregnant. We found out after our trip to New Mexico that the alpaca baby was born after we had visited the farm. I highly recommend visiting this farm if you happen to be in this area of New Mexico! It will be well worth it as part of your trip to the Southwest!

Such a fun day. Small farm and not too many people around, but the owners came right up and greeted us. They showed us around and we got to feed the alpacas and got some alpaca kisses. No cost to get in and we spent over an hour there, even past "visiting hours". They also have a cute little shop with handmade items and alpaca wool socks

We stopped by on Saturday Aug 3 2019 without much expectation. We met Bill the farmer who is such a sweet and passionate person. He made us feel very comfortable and gave us a lot of information about the farm and alpacas in general. The animals were adorable. We walked inside the girls' pen. They were calm and easy to feed. In the boys' pen we got to meet a couple of interesting characters and got "kisses" from one of them - no guarantee about that, it depends on his mood : )The tour is free but there is a little store where you can purchase alpaca stuff or make a donation well deserved by Bill, his wife and their animals.

Add this to your trip and meet "Bill" and his wife, the alpaca farmers. It's a most intimate encounter with these lovely creatures native to South America. The highlight was the "alpaca" kiss when the animals sniff you under your chin. There is no dee but check out the small gift shop or leave a donation to help the upkeep of the animals. Great for little kids but my teenage girls and I enjoyed the visit too.

The alpacas are so cute. They don't like to be pet but they will come right up to you and sniff you and eat from your hand as long as you're very calm. The owners are so nice and knowledgeable! Had a great time here and would definitely recommend.

This is a fun way to spend 30 min- 1 hour. The owners are very friendly and will let you feed the alpacas. Great for all ages. There's no obligation to purchase the materials in the Gift Shop made from the Alpacas, but great to look around and support them. Especially, since admission is FREE.There was a baby alpaca born a few days ago and she is already walking/running, etc. Crazy!

Going to this alpaca farm was such a wonderful experience!!! My husband and I come out to Albuquerque a couple of times a year for work and we are always looking for new things to see and experience here. This was one of the best! The owners are SO friendly and knowledgable about alpacas. We got to go through the barn and then outside to feed the alpacas some grass and getting them comfortable with us so we could get some alpaca kisses, too. We also got to meet and pet their other pets - their dogs and barn cat. Let me also stop here and mention that all of this is free! And the owners, who clearly love these animals and take great care of them, told us a lot of informative things about alpacas but also shared stories and some of their adventures with them which was all very entertaining. We ended by going into their cute, little gift shop. You are under no obligation to buy anything but we couldn't resist getting an alpaca fleece blanket and stuffed animal to bring home to our kids. We highly recommend going here and would love to visit again when we come back to the area.

Went to this farm on a Monday noon and we were greeted by Bill who made us feel so welcome. He gave a quick intro to Alpacas and guided us into the pen. The Alpacas were adorable and you can see Bill and his wife are very passionate about what they do and it reflected in the tour. Highly recommend if you are looking to do something in Albuquerque. They did not charge any admission fee so please do buy something from their store or if you are like me not wanting to accumulate more stuff at home, consider giving a donation. Although, my friends and I did buy a cute hat for a baby boy we know in addition to the donation. Worth every penny.Felt really happy and content leaving the place.
