A property management company review? How sexy!Seriously, if I could have read some honest reviews about property management companies when we were shopping for a new one, I would've paid for the feedback. These companies aren't cheap, and they're a critical component of a planned neighborhood. Our last company was a nightmare. We took a chance on HOAMCO because 1) they were somewhat local, with an office here and another in Phoenix and 2) they seemed to really care, visiting repeatedly to discuss our ambitions and challenges, listening, responding in a timely way.Six months into our first contract, I'm very happy with our choice. They aggressively sought out legal help to interpret our nondescript covenant, established an efficient structure for our annual meetings, and became the sole go-to for neighbor issues, relieving the HOA of so much undeserved pressure. Hire them. Ask for Tracy.And hey, while I'm at it, this goes out to the monster who decided to make the HOA her personal vendetta, simply because we asked her to stop parking her truck in the fire lane: nobody likes a bully. You're THAT neighbor, you know who I'm talking about, the one that everyone else whispers about? The crazy one? The one who should just pack up and head out? That's you. I can't imagine how that must feel. But I can see this consuming you.

I have the unfortunate disposition of having been dealing with this company for a year. My concerns have only been ignored and dismissed. The "customer service" they have offered has been zero. The person behind the emails when you contact them is a terrible human. If you have the chance to find a home in a neighborhood run by these people, do yourself a favor and DON'T.

This company is horrible and consistently fails to communicate with its property owners. I was not notified of an increase in fees so when I requested that they be waived, I was told the collection fees (for an automatically generated late) were a hard cost to the company and insinuated that I was lying because they did not have returned mail for me. I asked for proof that they mailed the letter and they gave me an postage stamp envelope the company sent to itself. This company is a disgrace.

HOAMCO is a great customer service-oriented business. As an homeowner, we really appreciate their expertise, fairness, patience, understanding, and calm demeanor working with our community, Cottonwood Trails. Their hard-working representatives and management are at a higher standard than other management companies. Our community has been with HOAMCO for a total of about 17 years. Unfortunately, we did switch to another management company and switched back to HOAMCO because of their professionalism, organization, and expertise. The Board of Directors and community should play a large part in working with the management company to ensure that the community benefits from the relationship.It has been an absolute pleasure and I highly recommend HOAMCO for the management and or facilitation of regular subdivisons, as well as, homeowner association (HOA), and condo management.Thanks, and great job!
