High Desert Cafe & Bar

An adorably Pinterest-perfect, photo-op establishment with incredible modernist New Mexican vibes.We didn't eat here, but the food options looked good! We did have a couple cocktails and wine that were excellent.Seating options abound! Comfort lounging, practical eating seating, cozying up to the bar, or a fire to gather around... there are multiple step-up/down levels to nestle yourself into. There's also a large awesome driftwood piece encircled by a u-shaped sectional just outside the place in front of the office for the (equally trendy and clean) motel it's attached to.The server was extremely friendly and you pay electronically right where you sit. Unsure if they have cash, but they likely do.If you stay/visit here, Meow Wolf Santa Fe is practically across the street (down a bit), and downtown Santa Fe is a short drive. It's nice to know this is here!

So glad we discovered this LOVELY Cafe! It DOESN'T feel like it's a hotel bar. The art & decor are SW, but with a modern flair.There are 3 indoor sections, each with a fireplace (will be COZY this winter).There are tables outside, on the side & back patios. Private & lots of vegetation for decoration. And the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable & happy. We had the Green Goddess Bowl & it was FULL of edamame, chicken, broccoli, grapes, avocados, quinoa & a creamy avocado herb dressing. It was delicious. The BURGER was the BEST I've had in town! Juicy & lots of gooey toppings on a brioche bun. I look forward to coming back to try The Contender (their green chile cheese burger!)I had a mezcal drink that was tasty & not too sweet. Perfect. We'll DEFINITELY be back!

first of all excellent service from Martine. hubby and I shared the pear flatbread, which was really good. Excellent crispy crust. I did find it a bit too sweet with both the pears and the fig jam. Needed a bit of acid to counterbalance the sweetness. However, it was excellent and we would order it again. flatware was surprisingly more suited to an upscale restaurant. Recommend and will return.

I am visiting Santa Fe from out of town and I'm so glad I found this Cafe. It is a little hard to find since it is inside a hotel, but it is well worth the find. We had a spring salad and the pear flatbread. Both were delicious. The pear flatbtead was a little sweet but the toppings and combinations were awesome. I would recommend you try this cafe.

We live in Santa Fe and read about this "new to us" restaurant on yelp. Had Sunday Brunch there today. The space is wonderful. Whoever did the decorating is excellent. Unfortunately, the food and service did not merit this pretty spot. Our food was cold, the service completely indifferent. It's a shame because it could be great. I almost never leave a bad review but I am hoping this feedback can be taken to heart and improvements can be made.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars... Great food, great service, in a hip cool comfortable environment.Highly recommended!

The food is so unique and delicious!! The service was amazing!! We stayed at the hotel, so we got to enjoy the breakfast in the morning and dinner at night. Both experiences were awesome!! When I come back into town I will make a point to at least eat here, if not stay here again!

Their food is wonderful and not to mention the place, if you go you have to try their burger with green chili, it is the most delicious.
