Havana House Cigar Shop

I cannot say enough about Havana House Cigar Shop. The moment you step in the door you are hit with aroma of the worlds best tobacco. The sweet pleasant aroma is something that sticks with you. The variety of cigars from around the world are amazing. When enter the walk in humidor room the experience begins and is absolutely amazing. I personally enjoy the sweeter flavorful Maduro cigars from the Dark Wood tobacco co. collection. So far my favorite selection is Fat Bottom Betty and Leather Rose which are a smooth, sweet with light flavorful notes. The smell is almost similar to a sweet tobacco pipe. The staff is always helpful and ready to direct and educate you about the products they are familiar with. A friend and myself got to enjoy the very relaxing lounge and it's amenities. When it comes to aromas for enjoying the indoor lounge, you just can't experience it the same way when you smoke outside. Puffing inside allows you to experience the nuances of the cigar as it burns. Rather than having the smoke whisked away by a breeze, it floats gently and slowly toward the ceiling. It's far more relaxed. Pricing is set fairly and is somewhat less than another popular cigar shop. The Lou Che is free to visitors as long as you purchase your stick from them. Another competitor cigar lounge use requires an annual membership fee which you could easily use that cost to buy 2-3 cases of a good quality cigar. You will not be disappointed with your visit.

Best place to grab a cigar and a conversation. Great owners and selection is fantastic, friendly warm inviting. If in the ABQ you need to stop and see what the rest of America is missing!

Stumbled upon Havana House when going to FedEx -- great shop with a friendly owner. The up, or down side, is all the smoke in the air inside the shop.

Such a great place. Headed home is how a cigar shop should be. Open, inviting, friendly, great customer service, a clean shop with clean air. I was in town for just 36hrs but made two trips here. I was fortunate enough to have two hours to kill here. I was warmly welcomed and introduced to the regulars. I wasn't shunned or ignored like I was trying to infiltrate a secret society. After years of visiting all types of cigar shop, I can't overemphasize how important cleanliness is. If your shop is a haze of smoke clouds and has dirty, full ashtrays everywhere, that's not OK. And that's not the way HH is!It also helps that just a couple doors down is a Starbucks. You can grab coffee and a snack and settle in for a nice smoke at HH. Couldn't be better.I can't recommend Havana House enough. It is just a superb shop. Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff, great selection, very fair prices.

The Bethoney Family has done it right . A very comfortable nicely vented cigar lounge. A panorama of TV viewing for sports events. A large fully stocked cigar humidor. Excellent varieties. If only they had a beer and wine license, it would be more perfect. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Very helpful and courteous staff. They have a very nice selection of cigars and accessories to choose from.

No way should Havana House have such a low rating. After moving storefronts they have increased their humidor size and created a smoking lounge that is quite comfortable. Tell them what cigars you like and if they don't have it they will try to get them in. The owners and staff are always pleasant and ready to help.

Great little shop! They have just about anything you could want, the staff is friendly and helpful. Nice comfortable chairs, big TV's, what more could you want!

Great little Cigar shop that's tucked away. I never knew it existed till I found it on yelp. Selection is sort of small and prices are a bit higher but overall a great little shop. They also have a few lounge chairs and flat screens as you walk in.

I wished I lived here so I could boycott this place. Another rude cigar snob at another counter of another average cigar store. I came in here to try and exchange my Xikar lighter after being rudely rebuffed by Monte's on the same thing.I was so upset at the other place that I told myself, before I went in there, that if I was treated well, I'd buy a box.I bought nothingWhat the "Gentleman" could have said :"Im sorry, we don't carry that model, you could go to their website and get one from them"What he did say: "Well your'e not bleeding it properly" then, sticks a screwdriver into the valve, and as the gas hisses out, and with a smirk on his face, says "See, full of air. "It had just been bled and refilled at Monte's 15 minutes earlier.
