Habaneros Mexican Grill

Small joint with a grande menu. We came in on our way to Denver. Not much seating inside. We ordered at the counter and sat (on freezing metal chairs). Come on guys, a little heat would be nice! The host was nice yet somewhat quiet. The food came out quickly and was hot. We shared a carne asada burrito (probably the best SoCal burrito this side of San Diego) and an order of taquitos. The salsa bar is nice, but only the green jalapeno one had any heat. The pineapple agua fresca was very refreshing. This will definitely be our go-to Mexican when we're in the area!

5 stars for the food!!!Best chili relleno I've ever had, and I grew up in Tucson AZ. Insanely good homemade tamales and beans and rice...., all this and they were open on Thanksgiving day!

I had the Chicano burrito (steak, chorizo, bacon, beans, and cheese) with guacamole and sour cream (guacamole extra). Large and tasty!She had smothered bacon breakfast burrito - large and good (4 stars). Child had kids quesadilla meal with fries. She rated it a 3. Overall, lots of food options, clean, looks good. Lose 1 star because it is a sit down restaurant (that was doing a lot of takeout), but no bathroom! It's small and I get it... but if you are stopping by as a break from driving the highway, stop for gas first and use their facilities!

Stopped here on the way to Santa Fe for lunch!Well worth the stop.Very small place with very tastyMexican food done well.We will stop again on our way back through!

I will never again be bullied into stopping at McDonald's in Trinidad. This is the place to go!! I had 3 tacos- the birria, carnitas, and adovada. ALL WERE AMAZING! I can't even pick a favorite. I would get all three again in a heartbeat. Hubs had the enchiladas and I tried a bite with the red sauce and it was so yummy. He felt there was way too much globby cheese on the enchiladas- which after looking at his plate, I would agree. Their flavors are spot on though.My little's quesadilla also had too much greasy cheese, in my opinion, but she did eat it!

Stopped in on a whim on our way out of town and this place did NOT disappoint! I'm diabetic so I am limited on what I can eat. I got the steak fajita Mexican bowl, and it was delicious (even without a lot of the included ingredients). My husband got the quesabirria tacos and he was in heaven!! All of it was delightful, and we highly recommend this place.My only suggestion to them is to carefully listen to the customer when taking the order. Some of us are not trying to be difficult, I promise! I asked for the guac on the side so that I could control my gram amounts. They gave us a huge bowl of it on the side but they also put it on my bowl. It was delicious and I was able to eat around most of it, but it would have been better for my BS numbers had it not been there at all. Overall, 10/10 recommend this place and can't wait to pass through again!

We stopped here on our way through Colorado. Very good food & great prices! We got our food quickly & as Missouri natives, they even had queso that was close to what we can get at home.

Our absolute new go to when heading back to Texas from Stonewall. Best breakfast burrito ever! Fresh jalapeños and wonderful tortillas!

Pros: lots of guacamole Cons: Super overpriced chips and salsa/queso and the chimichanga was all tomato sauce and cheese it was so gross it tasted like spaghetti.

We had a great experience here! Food was amazing!! It definitely came close to our usual spots in Texas! 10/10 would recommend! Food comes in massive servings, and tastes even better!
