Apparently, burglary is seasonal.
The best view!

I've been to several YMCA's all over the country and this one has it's own individuality. If your wondering how the child-care services are I don't have kids so I have no standpoint on it. However, I've visited this location several times when I stop in Albuquerque. The building is older on the inside, but everything is maintained and kept clean. There is plenty of space in the facility to prevent you from suffering from claustrophobia. Fortunately, I've never been there on a busy day, but the cardio section has enough equipment to allow you to get your cardio routine. The treadmill section has an awesome view of the mountains. What was once a lap pool area, has been now been converted to a new section for weight lifting, boxing/MMA, cross training, etc. I prefer a gym with patina and this section is right up my alley for aesthetic. There is also plenty of light that comes in, so that it doesn't feel like a cave. Not everything at this location is the latest and greatest equipment you see in some of the newer facilities, but everything is adequate for any type of exercise your plan involves. Safe to say I'm a fan.

Just too expensive for how little they offer, okay hours, and honestly not the great listening skills from the front desk that you would hope for when trying to resolve the problem. When I was trying to just explain, in a very calm way, what was going on. I got interrupted in three different instances, and I only had four short sentences to say. Just a couple of grumpy people making other people grumpy. I most certainly hope they can be the Y that I grew up with, and loved again soon!

Man oh man where do I start!!!!! How about with Phil the day camp director who basically called me a liar and a cheat. I submitted documents and forward emails that was from a STATE EMPLOYEE EMAIL!!! When he first pick up the phone he was nice and sweet. Once I explained what was going on and he opened the email " my picture is on my email btw and I'am African American" his whole mood and voice changed. He told me " We can't have her start tomorrow until I know for sure the documents are legit, it's looks like there's been changes made with white out and I never received a hand written document like this. I will have to contact someone from that office to make sure this is real" Mind you!! My daughter was supposed to start daycare the very next day. He was supposed to call the company and never did. GINA said she will reach out to the company also but the failed to reply back to the email they sent Proving the documents are legit and why it was hand written due to covid-19. The company attempted to contact them but got voicemails. Long story short!! My daughter nor will any of my friends or family children will be attending this YMCA... The attitude and being False accused of of submitting false documents really pissed me off. The fact that I wasn't getting anywhere withGina, so I attempt to call the director and he was 10 times worse!!! Really showed a lot about this company and employees..... If you can treat an individual how you treated me " LIKE DIRT ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOE" Then how the hell will you treat our children???

The views off the cardio machine are nice. and they do have most equipment you'll need for a good workout, but....The culture here seems to be taking a nose dive. The equipment is dated and the facility needs a bit of a makeover. The child care here is a HUGE no-go. Management doesn't seem to really care for your concerns either. They may respond to your concerns, but they essentially are there to protect each other and do not own up to their mistakes. I have cancelled all gym memberships and removed my children from their care after a shelf was dropped on top of my daughter that caused damage to her leg. There are other gyms around the city that have better facilities at comparable prices.

For the price you just can't beat it with a stick!I've belonged to a Y on a few occasions in different cities/states and have always found them to be the best bang for your buck. That's assuming you get discounts & utilize it for the full family. If you're a single "Muscle Head," you might be disappointed though. But with my discounts I pay 42.00 per month for the entire family; how can you beat that?Their equipment is nice & new, but limited & with only one free weight bench press, it can be a pain. Especially if there are a couple guys camping on it. But it does have the full gamut of dumbbells and a few little benches for various exercises and a preacher bench, which is nice. A fair amount of cardio equipment and so far I've not seen it too packed. In my opinion it needs Hammer Strength equipment, but they obviously have limited space & I believe their clientele is generally older, who do not use that stuff as much. But there is a pool, various classes & free child care when working out if you have no place to leave the kids. No contracts and you can bail anytime you like.So if you're looking for a family friendly gym at a good price, this is the place. Oh, there's also three locations in town & one membership is good for all.

I've been a member here for a couple of months now. My favorite thing is that they've got a lot of classes. You can take a Zumba class six days a week if you want to. They've also got spin, aerobics, and yoga, and lots of other stuff during the day that I never see. There's also a small but reasonably diverse weight room and cardio area. The treadmills have TVs with cable, so I catch up on my reality shows while I walk. Staff and other members have all been really nice.

I signed my kids up for spring basketball season and signed up to coach their teams. The YMCA canceled the season but refunded my money.

I saw a couple of mediocre reviews and almost didn't go to this place. but it was great. it was clean, spacious, and at 5pm on a Tuesday, still had lots of room. it has the latest equipment, huge free weight and Olympic lifting area (a pool used to be there). staff was friendly.

The absolute worst. They do not care about your kids only about the dollars coming in.Roberto the president will treat you low when you tell him the things wrong about certain programs.Brian the athletic director only cares about being right and being heard. Loves to talk over you.Albert just thinks everyone is wrong but him.Had a coach approach a girl and yell in her face and point at her, and all they did was dismiss it and let things go.
