My building projects are on going and I check the Albuquerque restore when ever I am in town. I've had some good finds here namely windows, high performance sealer, & window mate weather barrier, and the occasional unusual item. The employees are always kind and helpful. The back yard area is daunting therefore I do not frequent the outdoor area.

Habitat for Humanity is one of my favorite nonprofits, so I try to find home improvement items there first to support their homebuilding mission and keep things out of the landfill by not buying new. I hate to write a negative review about them because I've had such great experiences at other Habitat Restores in Illinois, Virginia, Colorado, and Hawaii (we have moved a lot!). The frustration is that nothing is marked with a price, and the person at the register just makes something up when you take up your purchases. And the prices are just way high. My last time in, I was happy to find 8 ft of irrigation tubing and some irrigation fittings I was looking for. I was charged $5 for 8 ft of tubing that I later found out I could get 100 feet for $15 at Home Depot. And the fittings she charged $1 each for what I later found at HD for 44 cents. I also was going to purchase a few other things but I knew the prices on those were way high so I left them. It says the mission is to provide used materials at "greatly reduced prices," and that's just not what's going on. We have purchased other things at their high prices in the past, and drove away writing it off as a donation to Habitat, but as a customer it's a real turn off. As others have mentioned as well, they are very picky about donations, and I've been turned away with donations at this location. I guess they have to be picky if they are expecting people to pay double or triple retail prices. Luckily there are numerous places on Menaul that are happy to take the donations. While I still support Habitat with monetary donations for their homebuilding mission, this Restore location won't be my first choice for shopping or donating.

This place has a monopoly in the market of used home improvement resources. They know it too!!!! Very proud of their cluttered inventory while trying to sell used & scrap materials at retail prices. Be aware of non market items. The begrudgened cashier tried to charge %500 (5 times) what any used item should reasonably cost. You are better off just sourcing your items elsewhere .

I've donated to many restores before. I've never met one as fussy about donations as this one in albuquerque. I scheduled for pickup (like I do every time at different stores in different states), and receive a message that while they do want the donations, they don't want to pick them up. The representative said "I am free to drop them off myself". If I could fit an entire kitchens worth of cabinets, appliances and fixtures in my car, I would have already done that. It all ended up put on the street or put in the trash. It's sad. This company needs to get its stuff together-- a lot of waste created for a spot trying to gather reusable items.

Went in looking for an exterior door for my outside storage. I thought this was a place to find a cheaper alternative. I've been shopping around for one. Crazy expensive at the ReStore! I'm all about helping out habitat for humanity (I've donated several pieces of furniture before). Buying a brand new door WITH the door frame is $20 more at Home Depot, than the door alone at the ReStore. Hard pass...

This business is consistently inconsistent with hours of operation and the items they sell. Told on phone they closed registers at 4:20 because 'they have to be out by 4:30.' Really?? Not very customer oriented. I did find the item I was looking for but told at the register they 'don't sell them (lighting globe) anymore by themselves'. Really? But it was on the shelf. Hmmm....I went across the street to a local business and gave them a few more $$ to keep their doors open. I knew

I found an item that was clearly marked 2 for $30 they were tied together as a pair, when I got to the register they tried to charge me $60 I said the tag is marked $30 for the pair. The lady said I know but we marked them the wrong notice ,she refused to sell at the marked price. I'm sorry that's bad business I won't go back to the rip off store.

Waited all day for a sofa delivery. Checked in with Restore at 2pm, was told somebody would call me 30 minutes before delivery, before 5pm. No delivery, no sofa, NO CALL. 100% wasted day.Update: Driver accidentally called incorrect phone number for delivery reschedule. Sofa delivered promptly next day before 11am. The delivery men were friendly and apologetic for the previous days problems.

Prices are unreasonable at Restore. I paid more for a container of tile mortar than Lowes sells it for. I realized it had been opened, partially used, and most of the rest was no longer viable. I had no receipt and the clerk who served me didn't offer one. Be very careful buying anything there. November 2022I'm in Albuquerque, not San Francisco

If you are interested in donating furniture to Habitat For Humanity , Don't bother with the Albuquerque location . I recently took some decent furniture to their store . Without even looking at the donation , the receiving station attendant rejected it . The attendant was very snotty and got belligerent with me for asking why the donation was being rejected . Her only reply was , I don't want your donation sir. In a time when so many people are scrapped for cash and need items to furnish their homes , one would think the HFH would happily accept these donations . But obviously Restore is only interested in profiting from people's free donations when the donation is nearly new or seldom used . Overall , I give them poor marks in courtesy , service and customer satisfaction . Poor employee attitudes .I will never give them any of my business again . Where is their Humanity ?
