No returns and owner is dismissive. He is also non-native but markets as native. Buyer beware - the prices here are very high! You can get similar and better quality right outside of the downtown area in Abq. for about 60% less

Old Town is riddled w/ shops & restaurants.... in other words, it's my kind of place Grandfather Eagle was 1 of our stops & we def found some treasure. Scored some 1-of-a-kind Coral & White Gold earrings as well as a super-cool ring w/ a vein of turquoise running through Prices are on the high side & this was *after* the disclosed discount.... ( little secret: every time you're shown something at most of these stores, you're told about a "special discount" ) It's Old Town & a tourist trap ... just roll w/ it Staff was noncommittal & didn't really seem to care whether she sold anything or not.... could have been the fresh out of the Balloon Fiesta attire that we were wearing that didn't exactly scream serious-to-buy-customer but fair is fair. We saw this demeanor everywhere we went so can't say it was singular to this shop Whatever - I got 2 really nice pieces of unique jewelry that'll always remind me of our great weekend in ABQ!Focus on the great pieces & you'll be more than satisfied

Not quite 3PM on a Saturday with the store owner inside, waving me off, the doors locked. I came here specifically to buy the Perfumes of the Desert Pinyon Pine. Now I will go back to Arizona without it.

I have shopped with Mark at Grandfather Eagle for a couple decades. His Native American jewelry is beautiful and timeless. He gladly creates one-of-a-kind pieces for his clients. Be sure to drop by his shop in Old Town when you're in Albuquerque.

I rarely write reviews but this was a must.No returns allowed at store. Which would be fine, if they're jewelry was up to par.Bought a "Sterling Silver" Turquoise inlay ring as a Christmas gift for my partner and after only a day of wearing it, it had rubbed his ringer green where the ring had laid.I went back in with him to see what could be done. The store keeper was extremely rude, took it as a direct insult and said "No, it's the acid in your skin that causes it to turn green"We both have several different legitimate Sterling Silver 925 rings with no similar effect in greening our fingers. After a few minutes of telling me she could exchange for a different one. I let her know I truly just wanted to return it as it's all the same designer and I wasn't happy. She said she didn't know how to work the credit card machine but the owner did and to come back when he was there.Flash forward a week,I call prior to make sure owner is available to work the machine for return. Shopkeeper answers and assured me so.I got there and it was a completely different story, the owner was short and dismissive. The shopkeeper blatantly lied saying she'd never offered to return or exchange ring. On the phone or the previous week as she had.The shop owner crumpled up the receipt and tossed it back in my direction.(Which they also attempted to take back before I left the store)I completely understand a No Return policy, but not when it is for the purpose of covering up shotty business. For reference, I spent $140 on this Size 10.5 "Sterling Silver" Turquoise inlay ring.I spent $30 on a Sterling Silver Labradite (the fake turquoise) a few weeks ago at a shop literally across the old town square and have had zero issues with the silver or greening. There was no offer to remedy this in anyway, just insults and a store owner and shop keeper who truly acted like children and boldly lie to their customers

Lovely selection and fair prices. In Old Town Alburquerque...all shops and street vendors had to be vetted so I was comfortable buying from everyone. Staff was very kind to me.

Had been in before, but this latest time I found the hand-made treasures (bracelet and ring) that were now there. This is a great place, full of treasures made by Native American artists as well as the owner. Really heavy silver in bracelet and ring (which I wanted) and the lovliest turquoise stones! Had the very helpful Leslie point out the differences in the pieces I was looking at.....overall a great place in Old Town to pop in!

The individual at Grandfather Eagle was very helpful as we picked out some beautiful one-of-a kind pieces. Prices with the store discount were reasonable, considering the workmanship. As I am not from the Albuquerque area, I was also impressed with their guarantee that if a stone should fall out of the ring I bought, I can ship the ring to them and they will replace the stone free of charge. While I don't expect that will happen, it's nice to deal with a jeweler that stands by their work.

The employee I interacted with did not know how to use her credit card processing machine. She charged me twice for my purchase, didn't know what a debit card was, and couldn't provide me a receipt. When the machine only printed one copy of the receipt, she said she couldn't reprint it, because she didn't know how. I asked her to look up how to reprint the receipt, and she said she couldn't. I asked if she had a manual. She said no. While in the store, she told another customer she didn't know how to process a refund. He was waiting to have a $500+ charge done in error refunded. Like, if you can't work a card machine, be a cash only business.
