Sorry but I have to agree with these 1 star ratings! I'm not donating my stuff there anymore because they are marking used goods with new prices- c'mon you guys! They sold me a broken humidifier for $20! Pieces were missing and when I returned it there was a customer ahead of me in line stating severe concerns about get his own money back for his return. They told me to plan to call the store in a few days if the return amount doesn't come to my account! Who has the time for that! If you are a business, you need to ensure that returns are possible- that's pretty basic. If people are shopping there because they may be short on $ looking for bargains, don't impose financial hardship because your return process is shit.I bought some paper plates with open packaging and the manager on duty arbitrarily priced them 2.99 and stated "They would be that price at a party supply store."Be careful, Goodwill. Y'all will go right out of biz.

I learned that Goodwill of NM has over 1,000 donated items listed for sale on Goodwill's online auction site. While it's wonderful to raise as much money as possible for your cause, why not sell more of those items locally? If you are in the business of running a thrift store, you should want your in-store experience to be great, too, and not simply fill your stores with junk (priced over retail value in some cases!). I popped into a Goodwill with my mom last week while looking for books to stage a bookcase. She was in from out of state and couldn't believe how dirty and overpriced things were. We found numerous books marked with thrift tag stickers from other stores for $.99 being sold for $2.99 here. It was baffling to see multiple items throughout the store with Goodwill price tags for more than what you can buy them for new in a retail store. What type of pricing guidance is going on here? It is clear the ABQ stores need a deep clean and a management overhaul.

(San Mateo and McLeod location in ABQ) Prices are too high for a thrift store; clothes racks have scant categorization (and definitely no size indicators). No dressing room. Didn't get a feeling of warmth or love in the store, so left with empty hands. Wish I had something positive to say--okay, easy parking experience!

If I could give zero stars I would. Drove here to buy a hairdryer, found one I liked that worked. Didn't have a price sticker on it, so I picked a like hair dryer with a sticker on it and asked the manager if she would price it. I was told that "they would not price the unmarked item until tomorrow". WTF?!? I have something in my hand that I want to buy and they will not sell it to me. Horrible service, horrible policy. Savers all the way!!

I just want to say I hardly ever shop at goodwill and now I understand why I don't go to their store as often. I witnessed last night while shopping a customer that were wanting to negotiate a pricing on a pair of shoes that had a broken heel. The lady associate escorted them to her manager and manager came out of back office to which seemed agitated on her associate that asked her a question if the couple can pay a price of 0.99 cents since the pair of shoes were not in the best condition. Manager looked at the couple and asked them "well why do you even want them if they aren't in good condition?" Customer replied "I'm not sure I just want them." I'm sorry but let me just get something straight, since when did places just hire anyone as a manager? That was completely rude and not right to say to them and especially in front of other customers who heard and witnessed the way she spoke to them. Sure, the customers weren't upset about it but they wanted to pay and just ask about a pricing and for her to question them about why they want them if the condition isn't good is not her business to even ask them. She didn't even say it in a conversational way, it was put in an bugged attitude way. Afterwards, I walked away to think about a few items I was wanting to purchase. I found an espresso machine which has a green label and from what I'm aware of green labels to Goodwill mean it's "brand new" in this case, it was not brand new. It was used. It was a nice machine but coffee grinds and water were coming out of the machine so I went to speak to an associate and the guy basically blew me off about me asking if I could try to talk about a different pricing even if it was barely getting the tax off and he said "it's brand new and I'm not going to budge" Yet, I showed him the water and coffee grinds and was completely rude about it. I said never mind. They completely turned me away from their stores in the future and I have never had an issue in the past but I'm sorry they need to rethink who they have as management and associates because they treated me and the other couple pretty poorly. I get it jobs suck but 30 minutes before they close they should be accommodating to guests needs and questions not rushing to close and throw everyone out. I am completely appalled at the service that they provided last night and especially for this store to be "remodeled." Horrible service and will not return to Goodwill.
