Golden Pride Bbq Chicken & Ribs

Very good fried chicken, and a good deal for family meals. Ribs are fine, but not particularly smoky. No bark to speak of. Excellent barbecue sauce for those who prefer sweet sauce.The vegetarian burrito is absolute trash and should be taken off the menu. It's just pinto beans, cheese, and piles of chiles inside and out. And a sea of shredded, flavorless iceberg lettuce. In fact the closest thing to flavor is hot (the chiles) and crunchy (the iceberg lettuce).Do not, under any circumstances, get food for a vegetarian here.Despite the crazy long lines, things move pretty fast, and the service is super friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Unbelievably mismanaged lines is all I can say.I wanted to acknowledge that I came during the time that was busy and a wair is understandable. however, it is completely unbelievable to me that one line is moving while the other stays completely still. This was the first time I ever saw this location with a line out to the street so again I understand they were busy. However, the line that I was forced to join took probably five times as long to get through. I mean there were cars that came after me that left probably 20 minutes before I did. The other line they also had someone coming out to physically take orders whereas the line I was in they only were taking orders from the drive-in window. It's also really fun once you're stuck in these lines you're pretty stuck. Also, their prices have gone up and quality/size has gone down. Very disappointing experience.

The food has always been good the only problem is with the Lomas store and having my car hot by another many times you wind up on lomas waiting to order from their drive up

Golden pride is consistently good food. My favorite is the green chili stew. If you do not like spicy chili then this is not for you. The number nine is a favorite by most. It's the best breakfast burrito in town in my opinion but my new favorite item is the number five. It's just a bean and cheese burrito. Add green chili and it's a hit. Oh, don't forget about the sweet roll because those are amazing

I don't get the burrito hype. Breakfast burritos are mostly potato. The bacon is microwaved bacon. I'll admit, the green chile is the best you will find but I don't like a mouth full of green chile mushy hash browns. I have lived here my entire life and this corner and the restaurant has gotten so trashy! The morning traffic is a nightmare with U turns & lines in the street! They really need to renovate or rebuild this restaurant and tear down the old gas station & car wash area. The entire corner is an eyesore in the neighborhood.

First time - read all the reviews and thought I would give them a try. Got a fried chicken breast with a couple ribs. Pretty darn tasty and fairly priced. Girls at the registers were polite and Friendly. If you're looking for this, here's your place.

I ordered the two pc chicken and this is what I got. I went back and the manager, after some debate as to what a piece was, gave me a couple of larger pieces. They weren't very tasty and the bbq sauce wasn't good. The roll was good though. Stick to their breakfast burritos.

This is the second time I have come to buy fried chicken here . Both times later in the evening. It was an unsanitary gross scene. The young men eating chicken while they were serving food and not washing their hands. When I brought it to the attention to the young woman at the window she was rude and unfazed. I should've asked for my money back -- gross

Love golden pride breakfast burritos. I'm partial to the #9 (bacon, egg, potatoes and green chili). But the #2 is also very good. My wife likes the #10. To each their own. I've been going here for years (24 to be exact). Was less than $5 for a #9 and a large coke when I first went here, now it's barely under $10.

Golden Pride food is tasty enough and has been around a long time. When you order the rib plate, you get 3 ribs, but one of them is small namely. I feel like I am being cheated out of a rub, so I rarely order this item I was talking to friends and they enjoy them but feel negatively about narely one considered as a rib. We pay enough for your product, give us a rib, and use the narely rib tip as something else like carne etc. This is why I rarely order the rib plate. Treat us better the loyal customers are the reason you have had a long time success rate, show your appreciation to your customers because you can afford it !!!Star Rating of 3.5​​
