This is a great place to do business. The owners are always kind and very helpful. Have been doing my business with them for over a year and never have had a bad visit to their establishment.

I have had the BEST experience with this company. I brought some old gold jewelry and thought I'd get $100 bucks. I got over $500 dollars. I was blown away. I stopped by again a few weeks ago with "crap" jewelry and STILL walked out with $50.00. Expedient, RELIABLE service. I will be visiting them again on Monday! Thank you!Lisa

Fantastic experience every time we go into this store. Very nice, down to earth people with great customer service skills. They aim to please. Very nice southwestern jewelry as well as other fine jewelry pieces in their cases, and they buy gold and silver. We will be back!!

I went in to look for silver coins to purchase and was told there was no browsing or looking around. All I was going to be allowed to do was literally stand in the doorway. I'm not sure how a person is supposed to shop like that. Stunningly unfriendly. It seemed like they had no interest in doing any business at all. Not to worry though, I won't be back to bother them with my business!

I've shopped here before, they are generally very nice and helpful. But a year or so ago I went in to buy some "junk" silver and was told that while they had it, no one there could open the safe. Huh, very expensive things were out under glass, but not cheap coins? I wound up walking over to Albuquerque Coins, a long walk (I have no car) but worth it. So today I decided to go to G&SE again. I called and asked if they have junk silver. They do. Did they have anyone who could open the safe? I heard that the fellow who answered the phone was taken aback and I realized maybe I sounded like a thief making a plan! I quickly explained my reasons (that I'd had the sad experience before). He mumbled something about their address (as though I didn't know that already...). I sighed and said "I know that" and I hung up. Too bad Albuquerque Coin is closed on Wednesdays. However, eBay isn't and I'll probably save money buying from an out-of-state firm anyhow (postage free and fast delivery, too). Maybe I'll try G&SE again one day when I'm already in that area and won't be wasting a trip or bus fare. I'd much rather my money stay in town if possible.

This is the best jewelry exchange in town the owner is very honest and genuine! The staff is friendly, consistent and efficient!

I have visited these people twice. Once many years ago to sell some jewelry when I was totally desperate, and then more recently when I needed a watch battery. Both experiences were superb. While in New York City I found the jewelers there to be sharpies who were ready to screw innocent things like me. These people are very nice - they gave me the best price for my gold jewelry and didn't even charge me for my battery. They have an aura of honesty. I appreciate that so much after being taken advantage of many times in my life.They get a hearty 5 stars from me, for sure.

Hands down the best place in town to buy and sell gold and silver in ABQ area. This is always a fun place to go. I have been a customer for over 5 years done over a dozen transactions here.
