Stopped by for first time on Friday. I was at Ziggy's International Market and needed just a few produce items for my recipe so thought I'd stop in here and maybe save myself a trip to whole paycheck. WHAT a NICE FIND! (Plus one star for proximity to the international store) Plus one star: I picked up the freshest ginger I've found in town yet (including Sunflower, Whole Foods, Wild Oats). I also picked up scallions, cilantro, asparagus, a few pasilla peppers and a bottle of water. Plus one star: Total bill $4.29. Plus one star because I never have cash and they took my debit card but charged $.25. FINE with me, I love that they give me the option, I'd rather pay the fee then go find cash and many merchants don't give you the option. This place is 95% produce, so don't plan on getting your other items here, but it's fresh, very inexpensive, and the location is perfect.

They are conveniently located and parking is easy. They have a good selection, however, the two times I went in there, I left with nothing. They have no organic selections. I buy ONLY organic. If I were to buy non-organic produce, I would just do it at a grocery store where I get everything else. I drive by it twice a day. If I see that they are carrying organic produce, I will definitely buy from there.

"Fresh For Less" has fair fare. If you need a pedestrian (and not organic) veggie or fruity AND you are just in the neighborhood, stop in. By no means is this a place to go out of your way to go shopping. It's real rustic, old school green grocer with a musky burlap bag kinda smell.

2 reviews liking the location & 1 map misdirecting people. The store is on the souteast corner of Cerrillos & St Francis not the southwest corner. Not a big deal until you realize there's no Left Turn off St Francis at that intersection. Amazing prices though. Not much organic, tis true. Outside of the produce, there are some local vendors selling milk & cheese, herbs, & tortillas.A big plus is it's not some overcrowded megamart belching out customers. Has more of an old time grocer feel to it.

My wife and I are visiting Santa Fe. A restaurant owner told us about Fresh for Less and we were glad when we found it. The owner/manager was extremely helpful to us midwesterners in search of knowledge about chiles, etc. The store was very clean and stocked with a wide variety of nice-looking produce. The store lives up to its name. We left with two bags full of chiles, sauces, fruit and more, all for just over $20!!
