A lot of fun! I highly recommend taking some friends or for a night out. I took my boyfriend for his birthday (during the holiday season). We saw the show, "This Holiday is gonna get Ugly." We both got beef entrees and it was tasty. While you eat, you enjoy a live play about a murder. It takes place in a conference room at the Sheraton, which isn't actually a "cafe." But the noise outside the room doesn't bother you during the performance. We were sitting the closest to the door and we were never bothered by outside noise (and their were lots of holiday company parties happening in other conference rooms). They served salad, dinner rolls, ice tea and ice water, soup, then the main course, then a dessert course too! Each course was good and I ate everything there. They make dietary restrictions too so if you are gluten-free, vegan, or lactose intolerant, they will accommodate you. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would do again some other year!

Fun! Great evening with the adult family! Loved the play, the bartender, the actors and actresses and definitely the food! The whole group felt the same too! We laughed and laughed! Great adult fun! They accommodated gluten free vegetarian even! Any little thing that happened they would improvise and get everyone to laugh! So talented!!!

We have been to the Foul Play Cafe on about three occasions and went again last night. It was fantastic. As always the food was very tasty and the service was incredible. Staff is extremely kind and the play was magnificent. We started staying at the Sheridan hotel in Albuquerque because it is much more convenient to just go down the elevator and into the place were the play occurs. Plus that, the Sheridan hotel is a very fine hotel with great service. I had the added bonus last night of being chosen from the audience to participate in the play. That had never happened to me before. I was one of the finalist chosen to marry the princess. I had a wonderful time and can I now be called an Actor? This is something I will remember all my life.

Not what I had in mind for a murder mystery dinner, every actor in mid evil garb and talking with an old English accent. It turned out to be very entertaining. An interesting plot twist to keep you on your toes, and wonderful food! I had the Santa Fe chicken, and it was very tasty and not too filling. The soup was delightful and the TRES leche cake was good and rich! All in all, a very pleasant evening

Really enjoyed the show last night, "The Deadly Briefcase" Have learned that this is the last weekend for performances...EVER. Tonight is the last show at 7:30. The food was great, we had the beef plate, service was great as is provided by the actors with spice and pizazz! Not to be missed if you can get out tonight and see them off.

I cannot rate this based on the price, because it was offered through a work dinner, but the acting was fantastic. Actors were engaging, funny, and also great waiters/waitresses. The storyline was also interesting and well-planned. The food was good as well. My only complaint would be no gluten-free options, and the fact that all meats were cooked the same, rather than to order (I had to send my medium rare back for medium well). But overall it was a fun and memorable time!

Murder mystery play while eating. This is in the Sheraton on Louisiana. You need to call and make reservations, be sure to have a credit or debit card when calling, as they will use it to hold your chairs. At the time you make your reservations you need to pick either a beef, chicken or vegetable entree. OK, so the characters are great! They not only stay in character during the meal, they also serve the food and clean up after. The food however was very bad. The salad was probably the best of the courses and sadly some of the lettuce on my plate was spoiled. The soup was way too salty. I ordered the beef medallions with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meat was soaked in canned gravy, the potatoes were very thin and not seasoned and the vegetables looked as if they came out of a Walmart freezer bag. I literally got nothing but brocolli stems, no florets whatsoever. It was quite comical watching everyone who ordered the beef try to cut it up, as we were not given steak knives, only butter knives and the meat was incredibly hard to cut. I will go to another murder mystery dinner, but it will not be at the Foul Play Cafe.....soooooo not worth $55.00 per person!!!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable evening last night at the one-night interactive performance at the Foul Play Cafe. As we looked around the room - yes everything was in a sectioned off part of a ballroom at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown- it looked like everyone was having a great time. Lots of laughter. The meal was very good and the service (provided by the actors themselves) was excellent. What we really loved was how they were thoroughly enjoying themselves the whole time, even from when we first arrived and were greeted at the door by a fun-loving actor. It was a little pricey, but worth it. You could even have your picture taken with them after.

This was my and my date's first time at a dinner theater. I liked it well enough to maybe give it another try when the show changes. This has to be said: this ain't Shakespeare, and it ain't Laurence Olivier (I don't think anybody was expecting it would be). What it is, is a troupe of regular Joes with day jobs who do this because they love doing it. It must take a lot of guts to get up in front of an audience and let it hang out like that. They have a wisecrack on their website about being a non-profit whether they want to be or not.The story was OK - again, not Oscar quality, but a fun way to spend an evening. It would have been nice to have the murder happen earlier in the show, and have more development of clues. There were 5 actors and 7 parts, and the murder took place offstage, so there was no way to examine the scene or the body. Each audience member was encouraged to fill out a form with our guess of murderer with motive and reasoning. It was just a guess, though, since most of the clues were revealed after we turned the forms in. My date and I guessed right, and they drew my date at random from the correct guesses for the night's door prize. The food was good, and was spaced out during intermissions in the show. I had a chicken breast with green chile and pepperjack cheese. It was very tender. The desert, dulce de leche, was excellent. The food was the typical kind you get at a hotel, like at a wedding reception, conference, etc.
