Foothills Trailhead

This is also known as the Embudito Trailhead, tons of trails start from here. Embudito Canyon is quite neat, and going up to Oso Ridge is awesome for views. Went up to South Sandias Peak from here as well, was a difficult but beautiful and fun hike. Would recommend coming here to check out some trails!

What a gem!! I was looking for a stopping point to let my daughter enjoy the snow the other day and we came across this little trailhead by accident. There's a small lot that'll hold about dozen cars and trail starts right off the lot with a great view off the Sandia foothills. I wasn't prepared for walking in snow so we didn't venture out far but we thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous view from the trail and would love to come back for non-snow hiking another time! So glad I stumbled upon this place
