Fishback Studio Of The Dance

Fishback Studio has been like a second home to me for years - I cannot thank them enough for all the positive experiences I've had through their dance training. I attended all styles of classes growing up, and the training was not only so much fun, but also increased my confidence, poise, work ethic, and sense of self as I grew from childhood to teenage years. Fishback teachers offer high level expertisein dance training as well as a positive environment for learning. The studio is a wonderful environment for all ages - I've recently returned to take classes as an adult! I am so happy that I can continue to be a part of such a joyful community and and have the opportunity to move my body and relieve stress.I highly recommend classes to anyone wanting to get started with dance!

Fishback is like a family. I've been coming here for several years for classes and recitals, ballet and jazz. I really like the modern class too. Staff really cares and a lot of emphasis is placed on ballet & good technique (some teachers have even been Rockettes, in movies, and famous dance companies but you wouldn't tell from their down to earth attitudes. They remember you). Classes for all ages and experience levels!

Staff is friendly but the parking lot is in disrepair and definitely not well lit during evening hours. Be careful for uneven ground!!! You would think with the amount of money parents pay for their kids to dance at Fishbacks the facility would be better taken care of. I speak from experience. My wife took a fall in the parking lot because of a pot hole she did not see in the very dark parking lot. They can do a much better job spacing out classes to ease the traffic flow out of their parking lot during class transition times. All being said the owners seem to be more interested in profits by pumping people into and out of their business and not keeping up with the facility. The inside isn't all that impressive either. Example- ceiling tiles look terrible due to leaks in roof.

This studio is not one of my favorites for the following reasons...A.) Their competition team is not very good, and their dances are very cookie cutter like.B.) The students there are kind of mean, and are really kind of snobby (this only applies to a few).C.) They are not very up to date with their style of dance, and don't know what really is going on. (Like I said earlier, very cookie cutter).They are however very technical dancers, and are very clean. (They focus mainly on ballet).

A unique, loving and experienced dance studio! Fishback has been around for generations and has been teaching children and adults the love and discipline of dance. Each student is valued and is instilled the joy and passion of dance. Fishback offers ballet, tap, jazz, acrobats, contemporary, hip hop, salsa and many more for toddlers, children, teens, adults and seniors! Fishback Dance Studio has a magnificant and elaborate dance recital at Popejoy Hall every other year that makes the performers feel professional and excited to work hard for a memorable performance for their families! If you want your son or daughter to learn the disciple and art of dance in a caring, family owned and operated with a staff that is welcoming, experienced, and loving then Fishback Dance Studio is the place! My daughter transferred from another studio that didn't know her name where as when you walk into Fishback and she loves it! The walls are lined with the dancer's pictures, many of dancer's that have gone on to win competitions and even go to NY to be I'm the Nut Cracker play! Fishback Dance Studio is for beginners, hobbiers, and for professional dancers! Thank you Fishback!

Our daughter has been going to Fishback since she was 4 years old. We love this studio. Her training in all dance forms has been top notch. The teachers are amazing and extremely supportive. This studio has been our daughters second home and the teachers and dancers her second family. Highly recommend!!!!

Fishback Dance Studio is truly exceptional! They warmly welcome students of all ages and skill levels, whether they are beginners or experienced dancers. My daughter is part of the Fishback Dance Company competition team, while I dance for exercise and enjoyment. We also take a heels/Latin class together, which I love because I get to dance alongside her while she still receives the level of instruction necessary to compete. The instructors are highly skilled and professional, with years of experience teaching a variety of dance styles, from ballet to hip-hop. Fishback provides a clean and inviting environment for everyone.

My granddaughters have been attending Fishback Studio of the Dance for several years. The teachers are wonderful and the girls really enjoy the classes here. They have been on a competitive acrobatic dance team that has won awards in regional competitions, but the primary reason for their attendance here is their love of dance. The social environment here with the other students has been really great. We love this place!

Fishback Studio is a great place for students looking for professional or recreational attention. Fishback Studio does not only teach students technique, but also grace and humility. Most of the other studios in the area do not teach how to be a respectful dancer. Only how to be a good dancer.
