Fiesta Azul Tequila House ABQ

Asked the locals where to go, and boom--here I am!I had to come early since I discovered that most restaurants close early during the week, and I had to get my fix of Mexican food before leaving. And boy, am I glad I came here!When I arrived, the restaurant was a little empty, but no biggie--it picked up quickly with diners of all ages, backgrounds, singles, groups, couples, you name it.I started with a traditional margarita, chips, salsa, and shrimp ceviche. As my ceviche arrived, I struck up a conversation with a beautiful young lady next to me and ended up sharing my appetizer--glad I did because the portion was hefty! Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with the salty chips.Next came the chicken rice bowl--loaded with chicken, rice, black beans, all the good fixings... and of course, bring me some chips so I can dip, dip, dip!The food was outstanding, and our bartender--who was new--was such a joy! You'd never know it was her first rodeo; she was completely on point with everything.Run, don't walk, to this place! When I return to Albuquerque, I'll be back to explore more. Bon appétit!

A new place to try with friends and those margaritas did not disappoint. Lately I've been trying to enjoy the moment and sometimes forget to take a photo. Service was great but remember to park in the south lot not the north. Loved the ambiance, the colors and atmosphere were nice. Feeling of maybe being in Mexico. I only had the queso with chorizo but it was very tasty. I will return to eat a meal and have more strawberry basil margaritas. Might as well do a pitcher again. There were so many options!

Such a delicious vibe! I suggest you try it...today, like seriously...go now! LOL GREST, friendly service from start to finish. The space is open, large, warm, and comfortably inviting! The website menu and other friends that have gone indicated table side guacamole, meaning they make it on front of you at your table. I was looking forward to this experience but when we ordered it I was told they don't make it at the table. I was confused and disappointed but ordered it anyway. The guacamole is one of the best flavored and textured I've had. Very delicious. The menu is vast and filled with so many options! The bar is well stocked with many favorites and their drink menu is unique and special. I loved the unique corn tortillas. I look forward to my next visit to try something new.

First time visiting this new spot! The menu hasPlenty of options which was very hard to make a decision of all the delicious things I wanted to try! We started with the queso, can't go wrong there! I ordered the suzia enchiladas which was a creamy green sauce, so delicious! We also ordered the asada which had a great flavor. Tres leches for dessert! So good! Drinks were also amazing. They played music and the ambiance was fun, can't wait to go back.

Tequila at noon? Ok - it's more than tequila here. We got here before the doors opened, waited the 15 mins and got inside. It sure got busy fast. Lots of food offering. We started with Queso Fundido with Chorizo. It was absolutely great and loaded with chorizo. I took a pic, but it doesn't do it justice. It was bubbling hot. For entrees it was the Burrito Chipotle stuffed with Steak, rice and beans. Covered with Chipotle sauce(not as spicy as you might expect) and sour cream drizzle. That's right no " will that be red, green or christmas?" here. Probably some of the best - non hole in the wall food we've had since moving here! Our server Danny was great, he was attentive, very polite and rounded frequently, but not enough to be obnoxious. The interior is upscale and clean. But prices reasonable. My only complaint is the salsa - not very spicy. If the opportunity presents itself I wouldn't pass this place up. It's a must try!

This place is so hot it's like trying to get into an exclusive club man. I came in around dinner to find out the wait time was an hr. After seeing the delicious photos on here I just knew I had to try this place. The vibe reminds me a lot of another Mexican restaurant I visited a few months back in California. I recall it was love at first bite so you know I had pretty high hopes. After seeing all the photos well.. I just had to have it! Needless to say I waited it out. The staff was friendly but let me warn you if you're in a hurry don't expect a quick dine and dash. After I was seated, I found myself wandering off staring at just about everything. I did this repeatedly while also distracting myself on my phone for awhile. This place let me tell ya when it's packed it's louder than a heavy metal concert. It's definitely not the place to watch TikTok without some headphones.After some time my server finally appeared out of the darkness. When he asked what I wanted to drink I stuck with water. Shortly after another person dropped off some chips and salsa. Man I gotta tell ya I really enjoyed the salsa. It had a nice well balanced flavor. After some time my server returned and by then I was ready to go.I started it off with the queso fundido. It's such a rare commodity out here these days I just couldn't resist. The one thing I was sold on before I even walked in the door were the fajitas. I felt like that one guy on jeopardy that's hitting the button before the host is even finished reading the question. I was quick throwing that order!After some time the fundido came out. Oh man all that gooey cheese had me drooling before it even landed on the table. All I can say is I blinked and it was all gone. I know what you're thinking did I really eat that whole thing? Well when in Rome... or something like that idk. Shortly after the fajitas came sizzling more than that Arizona heat! Phew! Let me tell ya.. that bad boy did not disappoint! I'm not gonna lie when I saw the $10 option to upgrade it to a meal for two I was quite tempted. But after I saw the portion on the regular dinner size, boy I was glad I didn't. The portion was epic beyond proportions and devilishly beautiful. I took that first bit and I about died and went to heaven. Torn between steak and chicken I settled for both. The fajitas were so full of flavor it was like a fiesta in my mouth! I savored every bite!Although the wait was a little long, the food definitely made up for it. What can I say? I'm a sucker for some good fajitas! I think I may have just found my new favorite new place. If you're looking for a ladies/ guys night, date night, or just a night out this is the place! I'll definitely be back!

Great tequila selection! We have eaten there twice now and the food was fabulous both times! The service is a little slow due to the restaurant being so busy all the time! Love the ambiance, it's makes you feel like you're on a nice Mexican vacation in a cute and trendy restaurant!

My first time. Friendly staff and the place is really nice. On a sunny day, daylight comes through on both sides of the restaurant and one can be seated at the bar, a high top or at a table. I ordered the Street Corn and the Jicama salad with chicken. It's loaded with chicken and was delicious. The only problem I had was that there was no jicama in the Jicama Salad. They ran out but didn't tell my server so the manager helped to resolve my concern. I will go back.

Beautiful decor and a fun vibe when you walk in the door. I ordered online, was given a pick-up time, and proceeded to the restaurant to get our order. Upon arrival, the front of house person told us that our order was not ready as they were out of an item and needed to prepare a new batch and it would be ten minutes. Given that the bar looked so inviting and lovely music was playing, I jumped at the chance to grab a frozen margarita and take in the vibe.After about 15 minutes, I went to inquire about our order and discovered that they were completely out of the item and could not make any more. This was concerning as I should have been told upon arrival. I was in town to take care of someone who had just been released from the hospital and I was bringing the meal home to them. At this point, I just wanted to be reimbursed for the missing meal, and we would just make do with one less entree.The manager was very gracious and refunded the entire order vs. just the entree. While she was taking care of all of this and grabbing the rest of our order, she sent chips and salsa to the bar to enjoy for the remainder of the wait. While I was disappointed about the communication snafu, I do realize that, being a new restaurant, they have some kinks to work out, and I was very appreciative of the lengths they went to make the situation "right." That is excellent customer service!As far as the food goes- it was fantastic! Next time, I will dine inside and enjoy all that the restaurant has to offer.

The ambiance was nice. Very clean. The food was ok. The beans I was not sure what they put in them but they are redish and no flavor. The guac has to much jalapeños and lime. The queso fundido was delicious! The tequila if you order Fortaleza please hit one shot is 75.00! They won't tell you. So fortaleza (still, repo, anejo) you can find at conejos for 22.00 a shot. Or the place right behind two cranes also 22.00. Well most places it's 22.00 except here the price is three times more you can get it any where else. But the food is ok just don't order beans. They don't even have salt.
