I was pleasantly surprised to see that Fat Tire Cycles had opened in the Corrales Shopping Center. Rio Rancho and the Westside has been in dire need of a full service bike shop for a while.I had made an appointment with Eric to talk about a professional bike fitting, a service not previously available in Albuquerque. The first thing I noticed that was exceptional, was that every employee, whether salesperson or mechanic, greeted every customer that came through the door with, "Hello, how may I help you?" Everyone seemed to be enjoying working in this shop and all had genuine smiles on their face when helping customers. Before I entered the shop, I was wheeling my road bike for Eric to have a look at. The shop has double doors at the entrance. It is difficult to open a door with one hand and wheel a bike through it with the other hand. No Problem! Matt was outside talking to a customer and ran over to help me out by opening the door for me. Nice. And appreciated! The shop has a large assortment of bikes at various price points, along with accessories like bike clothing, helmets, saddles and a large assortment of bike goodies to temp any prospective bike nut. The shop was well lit, clean and had a very welcoming vibe. The wait is over for Rio Rancho and the Westside to have a professional bike shop, staffed with female and male bike enthusiasts that are there for customers. Customer Service seems to be a dying concept. Not at Fat Tire Cycles - Corrales! No matter what you or your bike needs, I am sure you will find it at Fat Tire Cycles! What a great bunch of people!

Finally a bike shop on this side of town!Went in to get my tire repaired, very welcoming and professional. Even Luna followed me around and kept me company while I waited for my repair. The work was quality and reasonably priced. Got some education on my bike to help prevent further issues.Very pleased with my experience!

I got my chain stuck between the frame and the chain ring and coudn't extricate it. Took the bike over to the new shop in Corrales Center and one of the guys immediately put it on a bike stand and wiggled it back on to the chain ring, then adjusted the rear derailleur. All this in less than 10 minutes and at NO CHARGE! Awesome shop!
