We love hanging out in Corrales. We drove by this market and always said we wanted to try. We stopped in to try lunch, it wasn't busy when we got there, but quickly picked up. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a grinder sandwich with fries. I was a little skeptical, but was gladly proved wrong, the sandwich was anything but ordinary! The bread was perfectly soft inside with a nice crunchy crust but not the type that cuts up your mouth. The French fries, you HAVE to try them other the garlic aioli! Amazing! My husband ordered a salad and he doesn't usually like blue cheese, but he ate the entire salad and loved it! I snuck a bit and it was spring in a bowl, the chicken was the star of the show! The restaurant is a cute bakery cafe vibe, with lots of fancy market items. Definitely will visit again and recommend to others.

Fancies consistently delivers on taste. My eggs Benedict was unctuous and rich 5/5.My partner enjoyed his chicken and waffles. Balanced with spice, salt and sweet 5/5. We were accommodated when we asked to move tables due to a boisterous table next to us. We appreciated the move, so we could enjoy a more peaceful dining experience. Make sure to order your dessert immediately, the desserts go fast and when they're out, they're out!

Boutique bakery & market with very tasty pastries and wide ranging selection of ingredients & wares from around the world. Staff is friendly & welcoming. Decor is charming. Prices on the high side, as is typical in such boutique vendors.Pain au Chocolat & green chile scone both had lots of buttery goodness going for them. In spite of being wonderfully fluffy, they were also substantial enough that the two pastries, with a cup of coffee, made a respectable breakfast. Gluten free orange pound cake got good review for it's flavor by the individual who dispatched it post haste. Fancies Bakery & Modern Market is in the same building as Forty Nine Forty restaurant next to Corrales fire station on east side of Corrales Rd, across from Ex Novo brewing.

A hidden delicious gem, quality fresh food, kind staff, ambiance is , and very accommodating to a GF friendly diner

Came here with a couple of my girlfriends and we love the atmosphere!! The food was amazing especially the burger. The young lady's that served us, they made us feel right at home. As long term residents of of Corrales we've seen lots of places come and go, but we hope this one stays forever!

The decor was lovely and on theme...but as a life long Corrales resident I was disappointed by the lack of customer service, hospitality, and general atmosphere.We weren't helped for 10 minutes, and the place was dead. Not going back

What changed????? I drive 40 minutes one way to get to Fancies in time to buy their croissants. It was 5 stars 3 weeks ago, but now I struggle to give 3. I bought 6 croissants this morning and just threw away all of them, wasted $33. Small, gummy, tasteless, yet the same price when they were 4 times the size and 10x the taste. It's just very disappointing. Not sure I will go back.

The pastries look great, are very creative, and are often quite good, but sometimes are a little stale. When they first opened, the staff was unfriendly and quite cold, but that has improved. I wish they had more sandwich offerings outside of the strict lunch hours. Coffee drinks are OK but small for the price. It is a cute place for specialty condiments and bottled drinks.
