We were in the market for a smaller guillotine paper trimmer for our business and after doing my homework we settled on the Carl MTG-1220 12" Guillotine Paper Trimmer. I should mention that we're in Canada and could not find this model anywhere. Again, after doing some more homework, I found that F.E. had the model we needed at a fraction (60% less than the MSRP) of the cost and no other on-line company even came close to their pricing. I ordered it and had it shipped to the border and it arrived safe and sound in a matter of days. Should also mention that their shipping and handling fees were very reasonable.We're delighted with our purchase and the overall experience we had with this company was terrific - fast, efficient and definitely concerned with customer satisfaction. I ordered a Stack on wall safe from these guys back in August. I expressed my concern to the salesman that I had heard many of these safe's had been damaged in transit. He assured me that none of the safe's they had shipped had ever been returned for damage.Several days later the safe arrived, well packed in a large exterior box, but unfortunately damaged due to the orignal poorly packaged shipping box. The lock was also defective. I called demanding a replacement and asked them to inspect the replacement before shipping, which they did not do.The second safe arrived damaged as well and to date I have not been sent a call tag for the damaged safe. I have one massive box that has been sitting on my floor for nearly a month and not even a phone call. Avoid this company.UPDATE: over a month later a call tag arrived (after sending out multiple emails asking for one). The damaged box is gone. I was absolutely unimpressed with this company's service. They need a new customer service manager.

I purchased a paper cutter based on the product description offered by Factory Express, it did not live up to it's claim. I requested to return this cutter, only to be told that I am responsible for a restocking fee of 25%, reimburse them for the free shipping to get it to me and pay to ship it back. About $60.00 on a $161.00 product. They say that they offer such low prices and would not be able to continue this if they didn't collect these charges. Their return policy says "it may" charge a restocking fee, indicating to me that they have flexibility in what they charge. Andres is completely inflexible, adamantly refusing to work with me. I even offered a compromise, accepting to pay the restocking fee if he would pay for shipping both ways. He still flat out refused. To loose $60.00 plus dollars for something that did not live up to it's product description and not have anything to show for it (I still need to buy another paper cutter) is crazy making to me. Their low prices are not worth the numerous emails and time wasted trying to reach a resolution acceptable to both of us. And it took over 3 weeks to get it after I placed the order. Very, very, disappointed.
