It's a nice small library. Librarians are nice but one of them talks about others. I was able to get my resources and not have to get it from another library. There are plenty of computers to accommodate. Seating isn't so private, they are facing each other where everyone walks. So while reading people are walking in front of you. I accidentally left my coin purse at a table. I went back to get it unfortunately someone stole it. :( I know it was just coins but the coin purse meant a lot to me. I checked at front desk and no one brought it in. So I left in a sad vibe. Left my number there if anyone brought it in, but no calls yet.

Started going to the local branch of the Rio Rancho library recently and now I go a lot as I get DVDs and sometimes a book there. The branch library is much smaller than the main branch which is why it got the four star rating instead of five. They have just implemented an automated check-in system so you can now check-in and out your own materials which is handy. They have the usual assortment of computers to use, some study room, a children's area, and of course an assortment of books, DVDs, CDs, etc. They even have a seed library where you can get seeds to plant with the home you will bring back seeds after harvest to replace the ones you took to begin with. A great and novel idea supported by the local master gardeners.

I have been utilizing this library since my wifi is not working at my home so it is easier to just go and use when I need it. I like the selection of books and movies which is nice to have in this small town I was even surprised they had one out here in Rio Rancho since it is limited to what you find out here for services, and free wifi especially. The hours work out for me just wish they had longer hours on some days I need the extra time for study after getting off work. I just don't like some of the people whom patron here like today I was awaiting a call from family in regards to some important information about a family member in another state and had to answer since I have my laptop with me use it to study on I did not plan on leaving it unattended with a stranger this patron sitting at a table next me (whom she was whispering loudly with her husband I did not say anything to her about being quiet nor did I complain) had the nerve to tell me to be quiet. I commonly do not have my phone on since I am busy with other things on my laptop that require focus. I do not appreciate such people nor do I blame the library. At least there is a library to use thanks to that just wish it was less filled with grumpy older patrons then again this town is retirees paradise what do I expect.

A great library, where you can find items not at the main library. The librarians are friendly, professional and helpful. Definitely worth your time to visit.

Wonderful Library! This establishment is in the perfect location, they have a wonderful staff, a great selection, and a comfortable environment. They have 2 study rooms and a big section in the back with tables, chairs, and couches, perfect for studying or even getting some work done. Every other library I have been to has been very loud and stressful. This one is quiet, easy to find things and has a nice view out of their large windows. The thing that really made me fall in love with this library is the Children's Librarians. My nephew absolutely loves Vaunda and Michael, the programs that they give are truly magical and so much fun for both kids and parents. The one thing I don't like is the hours. I came by on a Monday and it was closed. I come in the next morning and it was closed til 12. Before you come here check the website for their hours...

At this library the customer is always wrong. I returned a music CD that they lost or misplaced in the big mess behind the desk and they never checked it in. When I went to follow up because I got an overdue notice, the girl at the desk looked around a little behind the desk and on the shelves and then said with a shrug, "We don't have it." No offer to request a search for it or contact the person who handles CDs. No ideas about where it could be. No considering that I actually DID return it or having an understanding about my position. Nothing. Not her problem. I asked the other girl at the desk what happens next, thinking maybe the first girl was having a bad day. She said unless I return it I will lose my borrowing privileges. Both of them treated me as if I hadn't really returned the CD. As if I was lying. As if I was trying to get away with something. How disrespectful and unprofessional. The staff at this library needs some serious customer service training. Do they realize their customers vote on issues that affect library funding?
