Elida's Cafe

Got lucky and made it to Springer right at lunch time. Although there were a lot of cars outside they had plenty of seating and we got a table right away. While trying to decide on what to get I saw that they had samples of their red and green chile available which helped make my decision so much easier. I chose the red chile with beans and onions with a flour tortilla and I'm so glad I did. My family ordered a smothered burrito with green chile which was excellent....the beans and rice that came along with it were also excellent, a tostada which was very good and a bacon cheeseburger which was also very good. The service was very prompt and everyone was very friendly and helpful. So glad we got to try this place and would definitely plan our next meal around this place the next time we're going to be close.

This cute little cafe is the perfect stop if you're just passing through or if you're staying for a while. The staff is so friendly and greatest each person who walks in, several of them by name. She even asked a customer why he hasn't been ordering his food and only coffee. She was concerned he wasn't eating The food was great, came fast, and was very filling.

We cannot say enough good things about this cafe. Everything we got was amazing - we cleaned our plates. My husband got the huevos rancheros with green chili, which came with a side of hand-made flour tortillas so fluffy. I got the classic breakfast with perfectly crispy hasbrowns, the best bacon I've had in a while, and a pancake with balanced sweetness. Esteban, our host and server, was phenomenal and welcoming. So easy off and on the freeway too.

Best little cafe with great food and service. Locals know about it. Very social. Loved it.

The food was amazing and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So you can come at anytime of the day!

Everything was delicious! I ordered hash browns smothered in red chile and a bacon breakfast burrito smothered in Red and green chile. I got it all to go. They were prompt and friendly at check out. I enjoy every order I get from there. A local gem!

Elida's is one of a couple restaurants in Springer, and is the one that is open on Sunday, so I stopped while traveling through. It is a small "ma and pa" local kind of place that serves both Mexican and gringo food.I got there before the rush that ensued shortly after I sat down and was served quickly. The food took a little while to arrive, but that is because it was made to order and not slopped on the plate from a steam tableThe downside is being charged for chips and salsa, normally complementary at most Mexican restaurants. Then there is the flat 2.50 fee for using a credit card. On a ten dollar ticket, that's 25%! I spent more than ten, but I paid cash.Those negatives aside, I would definitely return.

Stoped in this little cafe driving thru. Everything we saw looked delicious! We ordered Mexican combination plates. Both were very good. We hope to eat here again on the way home. Service was very good.
