El Sombrero Restaurant

Never eaten here before and don't plan to go back. Bad service, food, and prices.Food was ok but not that great and not for the prices. They also charge for soda refills which is noted in bold on their menu but it doesn't mean everyone in the party saw it and it's not the norm so two people with a 40 plus bill for a small meal that wasn't that great with slow bad service ? Nope.

Service was awesome and server was extremely friendly and was quick at filling our glasses when they went empty. The chips and salsa were not the best but tasted fine. Food came out fairly fast. I had the three taco plate (soft) and it was excellent. It was full of flavor and the rice and beans were good too.

Under Mexican Dishes the Beef Adovada it says that 'It is very spicy and may be too hot for some'. Challenge Accepted! When my plate came I tried a mouthful of the Beef, the rice, and the beans. The rice was so-so, but the beans had a gentle zing and the Acevedo had a splendid heat that didn't immediately overwhelm. About half way in I used some tortilla and sopapilla to turn the heat down, but still began to get some watery eyes, a bead or two of sweat. It is always a pleasure to dine somewhere that gets that just right. My lovely wife had tamales. She enjoyed them immensely but didn't favor the cheese on top too much. We will probably visit again after we patronize more of Las Vegas!

We are on a journey across country. We found this on a goggle search. It's way delicious!!!! Get the fried cheese tacos! Bomb! The beans and rice are fresh too! Chips and salsa all fresh and scratch made. The very best thing outta this visit on top of the amazing food is the service we got by our waitress Sara perfect lunch!

Absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever ate in. The enchilada for $14 on the smallest plate possible size of your hand. The guacamole salad was legit a avocado mashed up with 4 tortilla chips sticking up from it. Total came out to over $100 with tip for 5 people. Definitely don't recommend, I would go to Taco Bell before this place.

Best New Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas! No matter what you get you will enjoy it all. My personal favorites are the bean and chicharron burrito smother in red or green chili, the huevos rancheros with green chili, the tacos on Tuesday, the pancakes, the tostadas, and the French toast! All the items are perfectly cooked especially the pancakes and French toast. The pancakes are super fluffy and still crispy and the French toast has a soft taste of egg which is amazing. You always get complimentary chips and salsa which is a plus! The salsa is homemade and always the right level of spicy! The staff is also incredibly friendly and always ready to provide you awesome service. My drinks are never empty even when the place is slammed. The one thing that is a little weird is this is the only restaurant in town that charges more for green chili vs their red chili. Maybe it's because the green chili has meat in it? I would recommend all my friends and family to eat here regularly.

A coveted five stars due to all the the home made food such as tamales, red and green sauces, and honest-to-goodness Spanish rice. Wish I could hang around and get some tacos, but the relleno was pretty good -- not the absolute best, but definitely in the top ten.Yes, this is Grandma's cooking. Unfortunately, not my granny, but at least I can get it here.

Family owned with great service. Friendly place to gather with family and friends. Really good food (including breakfast all day) and excellent prices. Have been eating here at least weekly for years.

I gave it 3-stars to be neutral since I only walked in & walked out. I had a hankering for a breakfast burrito but none were on the menu. From the looks of the establishment it's a favorite of the local senior citizens (no snide intentions, just an observation) that is family owned & operated. The dining area rather tired looking & based on what I saw don't think I'll be heading back... it a little too 'on its last legs of existance' diner for my preference. However, the hostess/waitress was very pleasant.

Food was alright, mid at best. Service could be a bit better, and at the end they did not want to serve uf coffee. Worts service
