Really wanted to love this place..ambiance reminded me of a couple of restaurants I enjoyed in Mexico -New waitress: Confused but won us over with her graciousness.-Small Margarita:$16.00...ok but nothing about it came close to justifying this price-Chips:EXCELLENT! Salsa: ok flavor...ketchup vibe in appearance...not spicy.-Excellent Diabla shrimp...for those who love spice it delivered.-Chicken fajitas: no sizzle..no grill marks..bland. We used some diabla sauce to add flavor.Overall: Very mixed bag. I will return because I want to try one of their seafood soups.Hope they address some of these issues...I really wanted to like this place!

Wow, SOOO. Disappointing!! Like many others I wanted this place to be good. So badly that I overlooked the terrible reviews but they were ALL right... $15 for a kids quesadilla, no sides, no drink, no dessert.... do you know the size of a kids portion??? It only got worse, I thought if the food was good it was worth the price but look at the Horrific nachos we got that were again priced like a 5 star restaurant (picture)! Looks like they came from a bar or stadium, maybe a bowling alley. Heated up canned cheese dumped over poor quality lettuce and crappy beans. Redeeming quality was the pico, it was fresh and our waitress was sweet, all she can do with what she is working withI know it looks like a cute patio but AVOID!

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. We stopped by to grab a snack after walking through Old Town on a hot October day and didn't bother to check the reviews on Yelp!.My wife and daughter ordered fries with steak on top, while I ordered a burrito with chicharrón.They liked their dish, although it had a small amount of meat on it. Mine wasn't good. Chicharrón is supposed to be fried pork rinds with a bit of meat on them, but instead, I got the microwave kind of pork rinds, and they were soggy by the time I cut into the burrito.Service was quick and the staff seemed OK.I would recommend Cocina Azul, which is just 4 minutes away by car and offers higher quality food for less than this tourist trap.

Just okay. The service was good but I felt bad for our server since he had so many tables. I needed my water refilled so badly at one point I had to go up to the bar. That isn't his fault though.

This is a generous 3. Apparently, El Sol recently took over a restaurant space and they're still trying to figure things out. But for the prices they charge, they need to step up their learning curve. First, no liquor license yet. Some folks heard that bit of news and walked out. Second, we literally had to "beg" for chips and salsa. When they arrived, the chips came in a small bowl with a little cup of salsa. We asked our server for extra salsa. When she brought it out, she said she wasn't going to charge us for it. We were flabbergasted. The menu is extremely limited. No mole. One type of enchilada. Prices are for "street" size tacos. One hungry. Leave hungry should be their motto. My taco asada had good flavor, but the corn tortillas were literally dripping in grease. My wife's coctel compenchana was a better value and actually pretty good. We chose this restaurant because of their outdoor seating as we were traveling with our pup. There's potential here. But they're a long way off to being worthy of their high prices.

Unfortunately, this is about the only choice for restaurant in the Old Town Square. We waited about 5-8 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were waiting for a table. We were finally seated at a table outside. Our server was very friendly. We ordered drinks and it took a bit to get those. We did order food and the wait time was awful. It was probably about 30 mins. We didn't get silverware - had to go inside and grab it ourselves (after asking 3 times). We didn't get the "Xmas" sauce for our enchiladas. Had to go inside and ask. The food was bland... and I think the chicken in the enchiladas was undercooked. My husband had a horrible stomach ache for the rest of the day.I'd recommend if in Old Town, stop at one of the coffee shops for a snack.

Warm bottleed beers (Coronas $7), no chios and salsa. Bartender was condensending to my wife when she asked for draft beers. Apparently they were "all" out of service. Really? Guy was a d**k. Scantilly clad manager (owner) not dressed family appropriately. Boobs hanging out etc,. Just trashy looking. the other manager (owner) in a t-shirt was running around taking care of business but the entire place looked out of control and stressful. Thus is not what I want in a relaxing bar / restaurant. Bathrooms ok, but kind of rough. No soap or paper towels. One stall in the mens room OOS. A damn quesadilla was $20! We decided to leave and go elsewhere. This place sucks. I didn't even take any pictures......

Stumbled upon this restaurant as my friend and I were walking around Old Town. We ordered the shrimp enchiladas plate and they were flavorful. They also provided complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy. The salsa was well seasoned. Service was quick and our waitress was attentive.

My sizzling fajitas weren't sizzling and lot of fat on the beef. The waitress passed with a plate of sizzling fajitas and my anticipated waned when they brought it. The menu price was 24.00 buy the bill was for 26.00. The cheese on my wife's nachos was processed cheese with a ton of lettuce. 14.00 margarita was good. I know they're new so we might try again someday.
