El Prado Liquor Store

When you visit Taos, you should bring everything you need, especially liquor. We have stopped in this howdy doodie dusty place several times, but only out of necessity & extreme desperation, as there isn't many liquor stores in Taos. It's a very cute little adobo free standing building but there isn't much parking, the inventory is limited, not very good quality AND everything is overpriced & EXTREMELY old & farty.No "friendliness" whatsoever. Stick to the beer & be quick about it. Keep your head low with your expectations. Slap your cash on the counter & say "keep the change you filthy animal" like a local. Cheers.

Cash only. This place has a very limited selection and overpriced. They have the basics, so go here if you really need something, otherwise try to find somewhere else. They did stay open later than some other places, which is why we ventured in, so that is a plus. The service was not up to par, but everyone has their days so I'll cut him some slack for that. We went in looking for the Pepe Loco from the Santa Fe Brewing Co. and the Green Chili Vodka from the Taos Distillery. They had neither of these in stock, nor do they carry them. If you're looking for a selection of local beers and spirits, go somewhere else.

CASH ONLY, this liquor store gets two stars for being a liquor store and it's location. Cash only was an inconvenience, but there is an ATM. Selection was pretty poor, prices were decent. Use this place if you need a core alcohol for drinks of your typical brands.

Pulling in to Taos during a roadtrip and my Yelp app delivered us to El Prado. Please note they are cash only but do have an ATM on site. The selection isn't huge but they have all the essentials. In this case Tequila. Upon being id'd and realizing it was my birthday the gentlemen behind the counter gave me a present. Convenient location and friendly service.

The guy working there was a complete jerk. He criticized how I parked and said I could no longer park diagonal. There were zero other cars or people there the whole time.Horrible selection, way over priced, and cash only.They clearly don't care about customer service.

Horrible service guy was rude never will I go there again!!! If you don't like your job find something else!!!!
