1star at Best!! At the end of March we were called that the El Paseo apartments had a 2 bedroom available for my elderly mom 86 yp. She had paid the $45 application fee, plus $100 deposit. When we were ready to get the key from the office to move in the leasing manager Brondon led us to the apartment to do a walk through before the move in the next day, but as soon as we started walking down the hallway the smell was so bad it hit you in the face! by the time we got to the 2 bedroom apartment my 2 yo grandson started gagging!! The horrific smell hit you in the face as soon as we walked in the apartment!! The apartment wasn't even cleaned, the rug had crumbs, rust stains in carpet, sticky it was so disgusting! The bathroom toilet seat was broken and stained! How was it ethical to do this walkthrough & to think my elderly mom would pay to move in under these conditions! When we said no to the apartment we walked out without approving the walkthrough paperwork! Brandon even looked at my mom and said if I was you, I don't blame you for not moving! How do they justify keeping my mom's deposit when she couldn't move in to the apartment she wanted (which had to be on the 1st floor due to her age) which was filthy! Brandon did mention the tenent had lived there 30 yrs!! Hello then completely renovate & "Clean" the apartment before leasing it to another tenant it's Common sense!! Now they refused to return my mom's deposit, completely unethical and morally wrong!! even though they offered another apartment, it was on the second floor also a two bedrooms, but it wasn't what my mom requested!! Be careful out there they will take advantage of the elderly!! Sincerely, Mom's daughter!!

Worse place to live. My husband & I just had our little one, but before we did; there was mold growing on the windows & THE WALLS! When asked if they could come clean it, they stated I had to do it myself. And keep in mind, I was pregnant. When we moved out, we had put a deposit down & they didn't give it all back, when it stated they would. On top of that, we deposited $50 for a gate key, which they never gave back, after we returned it, too!If you are truly desperate, this would be the place to go.

Management doesn't respond to any of the tenants' requests for maintenance, elevator repair, or grounds and building repair. There are no longer any amenities due to a fire 16 months ago. No construction has been done to provide promised community room, hot tub, library, swimming pool, or exercise room. Elevators were down for a month with numerous excuses. A section 8 inspector was responsible for helping to get it repaired because there were numerous wheelchair, disabled and nonambulatory residents who couldn't get mail, groceries, or make physician appointments. Don't consider moving here. You will regret it. Although it shows one star, I would give them negative 10 stars

The manager Cathy hates working here and it shows! There have been at least five assistant managers that quit or were fired just in the last three years. Why you ask? Cathy...she is very disrespectful to the elderly that are about 80 percent of the residents. Most of the assistant managers admitted having a rough time listening to the way she treated the 55plus folks. Also a fire distroyed the office, workout room and recreation room in December of 2022. Only two weeks ago signs were put up with phone numbers and location of temporary office in an empty apartment. Over two years before they let the public know. Oh before I forget, the elevators are always out of order. The last outage was Dec24th2023 till around

There was a serious fire at El Paseo Apartments over a year ago, that burned up the building that had the exercise room, community room, library, etc. Also the pool and hot tub were closed because of the fire. The fire damage still hasn't been fixed, after over a year!! Also, the elevator in one of the buildings broke on Christmas Eve, and it's now January 5th and it still hasn't been fixed. There are many residents on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building who can't use the stairs because of disabilities, so they've been stuck in their apartments for two weeks now! Unacceptable, especially in a complex that's for senior citizens. This used to be a nice place for seniors on a fixed income to live, but now it's become a run-down, burned out place with none of the amenities it used to have, and a non-working elevator in one of the buildings. They need to get this place completely fixed up immediately, it's become a hazard for the residents.

This review is to contradict the lier who wrote as if she lived at the complex. She describes a horrific experience which is a complete falsehood. She is a troll. She did not bother to realize that the complex is only for renters age 55 & older, therefore she would not have been able to put in an application. In fact, the apts. & grounds are extremely well-maintained & attractive.

It was a pretty nice place to live, but don't count on getting your deposit back when you move out.
