Great park. Watch out for people sometimes on NW corner who want to talk to you about repenting when all you want to do is have a peaceful walk through nature.

If these trees could talk! As a little girl I remember coming here for soccer practices. I thought that being on a team meant getting together with your peeps, talking, and having some fun kicking a ball around...boy did my parents trick me! We used to run up and down, back and forth, side to side in this park. That was the first lesson when I learned not to trust everything Mom tells you...lol. Years later I was back in this park, now having been a student at the college across the street. Schoolmates and I would come over to the park....well not just to sit in the glass if you catch my drift! These days though I bring the dog so we can both get a little booty boot camp going. The park is lush with squishy green grass, the trees are mature and grown providing plenty of shade throughout, and the track around the park is smooth and paved for bicycles and runners. They have installed doggy sanitation stations as well along the trail. There is an out of this world kiddie playground where we can pretend the sand is hot lava and the parents are the evil bad guys trying to get us in our castle! The park is clean, and the people are friendly, and I even saw a little girls soccer team practicing and they looked good, but my team was the BOMB.com never forget it! Lol Great safe place to bring the kids and pups, to kickback and BBQ and sunbathe, or picnic date Netflix and chill...PG Chillin!

This is what all parks should be. There's a really great (mostly) paved path all the way around, that generally takes about 22 minutes to walk. I like that the paths cut through the park for short-cut access. There's a huge, open green space that's perfect for soccer. There's a volleyball net, if you are so inclined. There's a wonderful children's play area should you have one or two who like to swing and slide. On the east side of the park, there is a more wild and woolly area set aside as a pollinator habitat with nice benches so you can sit and commune with the pollinators. There is a nice variety of trees - evergreen and non- so you have color differentiation on your walk. I have observed that this park a super popular place to park your car and eat your lunch or whatnot. And there are a lot of neighbor people walking by themselves, with their friends, or their dogs. And speaking of dogs, there are a lot of places to get your pooper bags so please clean up after your pup. We want to keep this park beautiful.
