The last time I visited this place was when I was living in the area, and I san glad that the same folks still own it. Their chicken fajita burritos are delicious, and in Santa Fe, their price cannot be beat. The service is always friendly and quick. It's a street vendor, so that's the ambiance. I also took a chicken and pork tamale for the road, and it was still delicious the next day.

On my first full day in New Mexico, I was committed to getting some form of New Mexican cuisine. The smell emanating from this little cart made my decision for me. $5 for a fresh-cooked beef fajita and $1 for a can of Coke is a steal, so I quickly ponied up $6 and sat down on a nearby bench with my food. The beef in the fajita was cooked to perfection. The pico de gallo added a nice kick and flavor to the meal, the cold pico contrasting well with the freshly-grilled beef. The lettuce added a little crunch. It was all tied together by a soft, warm tortilla and the juices dripping from the beef. These aren't the fajitas you have brought to you on a sizzling skillet at Chili's. No, these are real fresh-cooked fajitas that will make you wish you had ordered another one. Or two, or three... If all New Mexican food is this good, I need to seriously consider moving to New Mexico.

Picked up tamales this week while I'm town. They were soooo good! Friendly service as well! The chicken were definitely more mild than the pork. These traveled and reheated well as we didn't eat them all when we got them. Would definitely get them again when in the area. They are also very conveniently located right in the main square.

If you're anywhere near the Santa Fe Square, you have got to stop by this cart and get a tamale. It was so good, we came back day 2 to get another one. If you can't decide on which one to get, get both. I absolutely loved the pork and red Chile tamale. Make sure you get a extra napkin or have wipes ready. There is a little heat to it but I can't really handle spice and my 9 yo kept wanting more. So expect a little heat but really the flavor makes you come back for more. Kudos to these guys! We'll have to come back for the fajitas.

Fabulously delicious and amazing prices. My husband & I just shared pork tamales & beef fajitas. The tamales were the best we have ever eaten! It's a bit messy to eat, which I was aware of from reading other reviews, so we brought our own cloth napkins.

Normally when I order fajitas, I'm in a TexMex joint and they bring me rice, beans, sour cream, a sizzling skillet of onions, peppers and meat, and not enough tortillas. It's always too much food.By contrast, El Molero serves up a ready-made tortilla filled with fresh, flavorful, slightly charred meat of your choice (chicken or steak), salsa, sour cream, and a little bit of lettuce for crunch. None of the filler, and tastier than most fajitas I've gotten. At $5, it's the perfect, portable snack.Oh, and if you see a little cart on this corner and think it's El Moleno, don't worry that you're in the wrong place. You just, like me, can't read.

Easily the best bargain for good Mexican food in the Plaza area. (El Molero Fajitas is a food cart on the Plaza itself.) For $5 you can get a plump, hand-held grilled beef or chicken fajitas in a warmed tortilla with salsa, lettuce and sour cream. Fresh steamed tamales are $2 apiece. A serving of the fajitas are more than enough for a lunch meal. Food is served quickly, and always with a nice smile! Plaza park benches serve to sit and enjoy your meal.
