El Michoacano Birria

Food Truck - Must try! I found this place as I was passing through. Initially, their hours were wrong and when I went, they were closed, probably because of COVID-19 customer changes. To be honest, there are a lot of Taco places in the ABQ area, you should definitely try this place. What sets good places apart is the clientele and that indicates to me whether its more or less authentic. I ordered two things, the Birria tacos and the Mulitas. I've never had Birria tacos until I came through ABQ. Most Birria is made with lamb, and so is theirs. Also, you'll get a container of Birria soup, which is what the meat is traditionally cooked in. For the price of roughly $10, you'll get 4 street sized tacos. These Mulitas might be described like a open faced quesadilla on steroids, essentially with meat on them and they don't disappoint. Again, my first time trying these, but it seemed like a lot of the customers that arrived while I was waiting ordered them, so don't take my word for it, take theirs!This place makes every order fresh, so while waiting, I was offered three samples of which was Barbacoa, which was very kind of them and a nice reward for the operating hours snafu. Of the three, the Barbacoa was great! I noticed that you can order most meat by the pound and I almost did, but at this point I had ordered a lot of food just for one person:). I was given three types of their sauces including a red sauce for the birria and a habanero sauce. None were hot spicy to me, but they all were good.If I have one little criticism, I'd say that the folks should sync their FB page changes with Yelp changes (probably have to do that manually). I think Yelp is still relevant right?I really like this place. The people were very friendly / helpful, the prices were good and the food was spot on! Check it out!

The Street Tacos were Great. Friendly staff. I'm really glad we stopped by this place. Not in the best part of town though.

Little food truck off the side of the road, but wow what a GEM of a place. If you want authentic street tacos, this is your place! Very surprised that this is their first yelp review. Tacos are AMAZING and meat is very flavorful!
