El Agave Family Méxican Restaurant

We are new locals and from Pennsylvania and we've tried nearly every Mexican restaurant on the Westside. They make the best tacos I have ever eaten! Ground beef tacos are deep-fried and then fresh vegetables are added with cheese. Their salsa is the perfect heat! Tortilla chips made fresh in-house and unique. You'll see what I mean. We eat here often and have never had a bad anything. The staff is so nice. Pretty decor (love that huge flower so much I want to steal it, haha. They are tucked away, near Namaste'.

The service was good and attentive. The restaurant wasn't crowded because we visited midweek.This place has some good comfort food with a simple menu and an easy-going atmosphere. My dad wanted to go to the tamale restaurant that's in front of it and right off of the main road, but we had been there before and they were only just OK. I recommend going one street back here to have a less crowded experience with better service.

We found a secret little spot. I say secret because I drive past this little shopping center all the time and I never knew this delicious Mexican restaurant was here in the corner! I'd say this place is like a hole in a wall, saying that in the best way possible! It's a family owned business. The owner is from Chihuahua and his wife is from here. There is one waitress who was great! I wish I could spell the name but gosh it was so pretty and I'll totally butcher it, it was like Dechaniza(I'm totally wrong).They serve you freshly made tortilla chips with salsa. They have Pepsi products here. The Pepsi was so bomb! I love a good Pepsi! We got the 4 flauta plate and the taco, tamale & enchilada plate. I recommend them both! We shared those two plates and it was delicioso!

The meal very good. The size and sides were delicious. I gave 3 stars because queso costs 6.50 and it wasn't really queso. The second batch of chips were 5.00. A 47$ bill for 6 tacos and a burrito plate. Feels like I'm in LA at a fancy restaurant. Live and learn.

We walk in, ok ambiance we get seated by a young waitress with black glasses. She was ok in the beginning but then when she started bringing our food and have to take almost every plate back because the cook got it wrong. Her attitude changed towards us. It was more of a "can you guys hurry up and go" type of vibe. Food really did not seem authentic Mexican food. It was a mixture of New Mexican and Mexican food. I have a seven-year-old who always takes his time eating. She literally took his plate away from him. Meanwhile, he was finishing his food and started picking up our table. We felt so unwelcome at the end. Never again will we set foot in this place aside from it being really pricey the service was Horrible.

The enchiladas were great and the rest of family loved the food there. There was great service and they even shut the blinds for us when the sun was shining in our eyes. The restaurant had some good decoration but nothing special.

Good tacos, Sopas, Salsa,Chips. Family ran restaurant and ALL are so nice and Welcoming. Quiet and simple place to eat out near home. Prices are reasonable / Atmosphere is pleasant and VERY clean.

Food is really good. Salsa is fresh and delicious. Tacos are crispy and full of flavor. Red chile enchiladas are amazing.

Excellent. Salsa and tacos rock. Good service. Fair price. Enchiladas with cheese and green chili and tamale plate- delish. Do not forget about El Agave!!

Tacos and salsa are very good. Service is good. Parking is difficult due to the lot's design but that isn't the restaurant's fault. It's a bit pricey for not having much atmosphere - but it is clean. Want a good taco in Rio Rancho, this is the place to go.
