I always love coming here. The staff is always so amazing. I love playing trivia during the day and definitely love the food. The burger was sooooo good as always but this time was even better. They play good music and just playing trivia with the guys is such a good time. Thank you again, always!

Overall, very pleased with my experience here! It took about 10 minutes to be waited on, but there was only one server handling the entire floor. She was very attentive and Took our order, timely. The only needs improvement was the wait time for the food which was about 25 minutes. However I got a green chili cheeseburger inside salad and they were both fantastic. The bathrooms smelled very clean. but appeared dingy due to graffiti. I would definitely go back.

It is exactly what it needs to be. A good time. Cheap drinks. Good bar food. Fun Atmosphere. Fun dive bar.

We like neighborhood bar and grills that make us feel comfortable. Plus, the food needs to be good. We live close to Effingbar and enjoy going here for a casual meal and beer. The service has always been quick and friendly no matter how crowded it is. A lot of local regulars go here but it's not a "rough crowd" not at all. We go in the afternoon; I can't vouch for the evening clientele. Prices are reasonable. Our favorite meal is the red chile enchiladas. So good. Sometimes we play trivia. Overall, I'd rather eat here than Sobremesa, the expensive brewpub that is nearby. Effingbar seems to have gotten the formula right: good food, good service, friendly/casual atmosphere, reasonable prices.

Great dive bar! Love the locals and the feel of this bar! Beer is super reasonably priced and they do have happy hour! Great place to watch the game! Get here early to get your seat! Quesadillas and tacos are yum!

Ok so it's not the Ritz but what it lacks in ambience it makes up in food and service! The coldest beer in town! Had the Effing turkey sandwich and a BLT! So good! The service was outstanding. I'll be back for sure cuz it's close to Ladera golf course! I want to try their hamburger next time. It looked amazing!

Great little bar, but not the right bar for some. Decent food, lively crowds, lots of regulars. I am only passing through, but will continue to come here til Sept. I'm one of the only white people that visits, but no one looks twice at me. They just want to hang out and have a good time.

Amazing bar - wait staff are amazing!! Karaoke every Thursday night - PACKED!! Wed, Fri & Sun live bands. Love this bar, plus they don't charge for water

Had their fish and chips! Pretty damn tasty. My husband had the green chili cheeseburger, ok that was DELICIOUS! HIGHLY recommend that bad boy. Props and kudos to the cook Keith Great customer service.

The food service sucks. Security is very disrespectful very judgmental on who goes in there. There's a cockroach they saw crawling under the bar, unclean bathrooms, people doing drugs and a lot of unprofessional people working there.
