Going here has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've had an eating disorder since I was 12 and it's not the one people would suspect given my weight. A lot of people make a lot of assumptions based on that and there's a lot of fear surrounding being honest when thinking no one will believe you. I finally came and went to see Jess (Dietitian) and that month was amazing. We worked out not only a way to fix a lot of my ED issues but also found out two of my major food allergies that were causing a lot of other problems which were only exacerbating my ED. Jess recommended I see a therapist and while I had severe reservations about seeing one (past and seeing family have horrible experiences years and years ago for depression treatment), I agreed to give it one month. By the second session I was more comfortable and less wary and by the second month I was realizing this was one of the best things I've ever done for myself.I've been seeing Kayla Rogers for a year now. She's amazing and a fantastic person and her help has put me on a path to total healing, not just my ED but my anxiety and coping skills and everything. My life is a better place because of her help. My advice for anyone seeking a therapist is this: If you do not feel that a specific therapist is working for you, find a new one. Try again. Not every person deals well with every therapists style. Find someone who provides what YOU need. That's the whole point of being there so keep trying until you find your knight in shining armor (proper therapist).
