Dutch Bros Coffee

Ohh how I love my Dutchies! I have to admit the new cookie dough freeze is my new favorite second to the strawberry horchata! The tropical frosted lemonade was delicious but too sweet for my liking. All in all the drinks were delicious and descent size for what you pay compared to competitors such as Starbucks. The staff is friendly and excessively chatty which we customers love! There is not much of a place to hang out other than the drive through but if it was it would be a nice place to kick it when people want to hang out with friends and family.

When I arrived, the line was SO long, it took me about an hour and 20 minutes to get the drink which I expected after hearing from multiple friends that the line was long so I didn't mind waiting. I got a peppermint bark with coffee drink which was great! It tasted like a peppermint mocha from Starbucks! They had multiple employees at different spots throughout the line to ask if you have any questions about the menu and they gave me a free car freshener. They didn't have a menu closer to the shop which was a bit inconvenient as I had to look on their website for what I wanted to order. I think it would have been extremely helpful for the employees to hand out menus as people are waiting in line! I would go back if I am in the area as it is quite a far drive for me. It isn't a place that I would drive 40 minutes for in order get drinks consistently.

Thank you Cody for making my first visit a pleasant one!I live down the road from the cute little drive thru shop and have been waiting for weeks for the lines to go down so I could zip in and see what all the hype was about-FINALLY not a car in site, I ordered my coffee and went to pay with cash,only to find out they didn't take cash. That particular day I did not have my card. I was disappointed and about to drive off but Cody took care of my bill! She was super friendly, got me a mini to go menu and chatted with me while they whipped up the coffee I have been waiting so long to try. I was shocked and grateful! And the sugar cookie coffee was tasty! The prices are great too!I will be back ! ( with my card this time)Thanks again Cody!

Finally decided to do the Dutch and brave the lines (Yesterday they were lined up on Unser for 1/4 mi6:30am Sunday morning, just a shorter line, still took 1/2 hour start to finish....upon ordering via awesome roving order taker who was walking the line taking orders, she stated that 12 cars were waiting in line when they opened at 5:00am !!Holy socks ! That's a love of Dutch beyond compare.Welcome to Albuquerque Dutch Bros. This place has been open for a little over 3 weeks as of today and I'm surprised to see how busy they still are. I thought by now it would've settle down. Nonetheless the less it's rare I find myself on the west side and Rio Rancho these days so figured since I had a dentist appointment on the west side might as well try this while I had the time. The line was backed up to the entrance. There was an employee directing traffic and guided all the cars safely to a single line which turns into a double line then back to a single. Very confusing so expect that when you arrive. They had employees posted at the double lines with tablets taking orders and accepting payments. Seeing as it was my first visit I had no idea what the menu was. I had to ask and they referred me to the website which I had to access with my phone. So between the line and that I was pretty irritated. Luckily it moved fairly quickly and I was out within 20 minutes. I ended up choosing an iced mocha. I got a large thinking it was like a Starbucks large but it was far larger than that in my opinion. The coffee was pretty good. They have some great brew. Even though it was iced it was still strong and packed with flavor. I wish I would've been able to see a full menu up close because the phone was a maze trying to see it all. I was hoping to maybe try a goodie too as I've heard from friends in California that they make some great muffins, and other goodies. Seeing as I felt sort of rushed with the employee standing next to my car as I reviewed the menu from my phone I ended up just getting the mocha. Hopefully next time I go it won't be as busy and I can maybe try their other selections. The coffee was pretty good so the flavor was enough to make me want to return again. I didn't care for the line or lack of walking employees with a presentable menu before you even come up to the drive thru menu.

So, I am definitely a coffee person. I typically choose coffee flavored ice cream or gelato and love a good coffee flavored hard candy. Hot coffee, iced coffee and of course frozen coffee! There's a lot of hype for the new Dutch Bros in town and honestly it is no where near me, but I found myself on that side of town this weekend so I gave it a try. Be warned, there is a line when you pull up, you can see it as you head in towards the blue Dutch Bros building. On a Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm, I waited in line for exactly 1 hr. I ordered the Annihilator, blended. It was tasty but I did feel that the chocolate macadamia nut flavor, nor the coffee really came through. It was sweet, that's for sure but not as much coffee nor flavoring as I would have preferred. I may try it again, but rather another style, perhaps the cold brew. The large is no joke, I think it is 24 oz of your caffeinated pleasure. You gotta get a large to make your wait worth it. Also, there is quite a large menu of flavors, I can't hardly make a complete decision on how I feel about the Dutch Bros mania that is sweeping over the west side of Burque off of one drink, I need to try more. For this visit I'm happy to give them 3 stars. I'll be back and revisit their rating too.

Be ready to wait. The lines look intimidating but it's because this place is sooo good!! I was very excited to drive across town for this delight. I ordered three americanos on ice, one with coconut milk and sugar free Carmel syrup, second with sugar free coconut syrup and half and half, and third with sugar free Carmel syrup with heavy cream. Unfortunately, when they gave me my drinks only two drinks came out correctly. The "heavy cream" drink had whip cream floating on the coffee, instead of putting the liquid form into the drink. I mean it's an honest mistake, but when they remade it for me they left out the sugar free Carmel. I had already drove away and I was pretty bummed out when I figured it out. I gave them a four stars because the two drinks were made to perfection and I love Dutch Bros coffee!! But this location needs to step up their ability to get all the drinks done correctly the first and second time around.

I've heard rave reviews about their coffee, so I decided to try it. I love trying different coffee places and heard Dutch Bros can be a little too sweet, but that can always be easily modified. I have driven across ABQ twice (literally 30 mins each way) to try it and both times the electricity was out...what are the odds that both times the electricity is out?! The staff wasn't very accommodating either. I should stick to my favorite local coffee spots.

I've wanted to try Dutch Bros, ever since I didn't get around to it on my California trip last year. I must've gone at the perfect time, since there were 2 lines that were moving quickly and 3 employees taking orders in line. I probably spent 10 minutes in line tops (took me longer to drive over there than to wait in line!). The staff was super friendly and seemed to love their jobs, which is why they deserve 5 stars alone. They had a designated gal at the window to talk to people and ask them how their day was going while they waited for the finishing touches on their order. I got the choco chip muffin top and the caramel brulee pumpkin iced chai with almond milk. The chai was sweet, with just enough pumpkin flavor. The muffin top would've been great warmed up with all the chocolate (and the calories!). The only downside (like others have stated) was not being able to see the menu or prices online without having to wait in line first.... I finally tried Dutch Bros. Coffee. I don't understand the popularity? I think Starbucks has superior tasting coffee to Dutch Bros.
