My experience with Dr. Humes has changed my life. Dr Humes is trust worthy, intelligent, competent and highly trained. She is straight forward so if you are looking for a soft touch she may not be for you. But if you are willing to work and hear the truth you cannot find a better advocate. If you have any kind of addiction tendencies she can be of enormous help. If you have childhood trauma she can walk you through to the other side. If you don't have sufficient coping strategies she will teach you. Dr. Humes has positively influenced my life more than any one person. We worked together via phone so you do not have to be in the same city to benefit from her expertise.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Humes for a year. I can guarantee that no matter the reason for your visit she will make sure you feel comfortable, and will allow for an honest discussion. The expertise and professionalism that Dusty brings to every appointment encouraged me to continue therapy. Dusty has a very direct and wise approach to tackling complex issues. I would highly recommend reaching out, you won't regret it!

Impression of Dusty Humes from brief, (happily) finite interaction: an inattentive and impatient communicator both in terms of clear expression and careful listening. Her presumptions were not accurate. Experienced Dusty as rigid, suspicious, punitive, and humorless--far beyond presenting simply as "straight-forward." She perseverates about financial minutiae which appear to preoccupy her more than anything else. Aborted the relationship and dodged a bullet.

I have worked with Dr. Humes for over 9 years, in person and remotely, and rely on her to be that practical no nonsense voice that we all need. I love that we have been able to conduct sessions by Skype and it feels as if we are in the same room. If you are serious about making change in your life, she's an excellent partner on that journey.

Dusty really helped me out a lot during a very difficult part of my life. She does not candy coat reality. I loved her straight forward, truthful approach. She moved to Albuquerque and we continued on using Facetime and Skype which worked really well.

I have been working with Dr. Humes for almost 3 years. She has helped me to identify difficult addiction and anxiety issues that I needed to address and continues to help me reshape my life to become the person I strive to be. Through behavioral therapy we are contiuously developing and improving more positive coping skills and approaches to everyday challenges that form a foundation for me to pursue and achieve my life goals. She is incredibly knowledgable in many areas of psychology and life, but also has great skill to seamlessly and directly understand my life and my specific needs. I trust her completely with my most private issues, as she is empathetic and a problem solver. I have made great progress with her and love that I can continue to work with her through online web sessions, since I have moved from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. It is very convenient and I find that the web sessions are excellant and just as effective as an office visit. We can even have web sessions when I am traveling, once as far as Australia. I highly reccommend Dr. Humes to anyone looking for high quality therapy, especially if you have a busy schedule and would like to have sessions from home or elsewhere when needed.
