During the pandemic, I ordered takeout a couple of time. Both were delicious, but I always wondered if eating at the restaurant would be any better. Well, it is even better! This time we tried the fish and chip with their house made slaw and tarter sauce, and their hand breaded onion rings that also had a special sauce.Everything that was fried was crispy, golden brown, and seasoned perfectly. No greasy bits. Their slaw and both special sauces were light and flavorful.I couldn't completely break my habit for getting takeout. I am now enjoying their ridiculous rich and yummy bread pudding in the comfort of my home. The ambiance is great, classic rock, and a wonderful staff. Takeout is convenient, but take the time to go inside and enjoy their fresh food and local beer selection.

I'd say we had a bit of a mixed experience with this place. We ordered prepared food via delivery one time which was decent. This included a tasty pizza, a decent eggroll, and a pretty below average sando. But then we also bought some really expensive local meats for grillin'. And these were absolutely wonderful (worth the money)- T-bones and sausages that they age/make themselves.Mixed, but overall pretty good. I'll give them the nod...

"But if you want to know the, um, like the thing I order when I really want to treat myself -- you know, knowing that it's really, really bad for me: I get the Bravas from Dr. Field Goods. The New Mexican plate. Bravas are just fried potatoes, and they smother them in cheese and chile and other stuff. They're totally not okay to eat, but they're my favorite."So said my friend Amanda, who works at the Market, when I asked for her take on the food. I waited for the perfect day when I'd been a good boy lately, eating my greens and exercising, so I could ruin it all with one heapin' helpin' of pure debauchery. I even added blue cheese and bacon. If I ever do this again, I'm getting a small order -- the large was out of control -- but as a general note, I'm pretty sure that this dish is the worst, and somewhat best, heart-attack-on-a-fork in Sawmill.Oh, and they do lots of burgers and they are indeed a butcher shop.

Santa Fe, New Mexico.Hours: 11-8Location: Cerrillos & Clark. Same strip mall with the church and dollar tree.Parking: Large, private lot.Décor: Modern.Estimate Cost: $20 no alcohol.Service: Wait-staff. Excellent hospitality during my visit.Eatery Type: Dine in. Take out.Food: Dr Fields Good has a separate butcher shop a few doors down & I was introduced to this eatery because of their BLT. Lauded as a top BLT in America by some TV people so why not give it a shot if I was ever in Santa Fe. The menu is extensive. Dr Fields has many offerings from American sandwiches to Mexican-Sonoran inspired cuisine. My assessment may not be fair as it is based on the quality of ingredients rather than the salty flavors. BLT is an American staple. The bacon is a nine ounce patty. Quite different than the pork belly strips we are accustomed to with our breakfasts or sandwiches. The burger feel versus sandwich was not good. The bacon was moist, lacked any substance or flavor aside from salt. Perhaps, a bit too lean. Hard to explain. The burger format was not my thing. The lettuce was old gross & tomato was just whatever. The mayo made it even more gross as I thought incorrectly this would be made with some special aioli type. My assumption and expectation was incorrect. The potato were legit. They are heavily seasoned but quite filling indicating use of real potatoes. Conclusion: More hype and flare than niche cuisine.Eating meat is an instinct.www.cleeshyun.com@cigarcpa

They need to get I'm the new place together. Food and drinks suck, place is noisy as hell and obnoxious super-slow service. Never again.

Waaay too expensive. I think they were asking for $9/lb for soup bones. They want you to feel compelled to buy their over-priced broth instead.Pretty much a boutique butchery in a boutique town. You do the math.

THis could be a good dining out experience... their menu is fine, the servers helpful and efficient. It's the acostuics and the new managment's insistance of music volume being SO LOUD that voices have to be raised to hear each other and that makes for a very unpleasant meal to share with friends. Even when asked if they would turn down music... not that helpful. I'll order food to go henceforth.

Great sandwiches and Burritos with fresh ingredients. The veggie burrito and Cubano were great. The onion wrongs are the best I've had. Terrific. Friendly staff and a good beer list. It was just a lil pricy gif what you got but seriously don't let that dissuade as the food is casual but measures up.

I'll start off saying that The Dr. Field Goods restaurant is a favorite of mine. So today during my errands in Santa Fe I thought I would swing by the butcher shop and grab a sammie to go. When you enter the storefront there is a sign that says 'lunch 11-4' I should have left after the gentleman behind the counter clearly was not happy I walked in. I asked him what kind of sandwiches he had and after he gave me my options I ordered the corned beef. He slouched away, looked at his phone awhile than started my order. Clanging of pots, grumbles etc he finished my sandwich, tossed it in a box and told me it would be $16 plus change. I paid, tipped him and told him I would have tipped more had he looked even remotely pleasant. When I went to open my to go box 5 minutes later I was so disappointed! Everything was so incredibly haphazard. No love or care for the food. The fries were undercooked. The sandwich wasn't even cut all the way through. There was so much grease it was virtually inedible. The whole thing screamed " here, take this and get out"It's going to be awhile again before I give the butcher shop another Chance. So sad.
