Dog House Drive-In is a classic Albuquerque gem that's worth a visit! A quick tip: make sure to enter through the turn marked "entrance" to enter into the parking lot corrected. We initially planned to stay in the car, but to our surprise, they have a dining room, so we parked and headed inside.The dining room has a casual, retro vibe, and you can seat yourself. A server promptly came to take our order, once we were seated.I ordered the 1/2 chili cheese dog with onions and chili cheese tater tots, and it did not disappoint! The raw onions were a bit potent, but they added a nice crunch. The chili and cheese were the real stars--rich, flavorful, and with just a touch of heat that balanced the hot dog and tots perfectly. Something unique is that the hot dog is cut in half when cooked, giving it a slightly different (but delicious) texture and taste.This spot definitely lives up to the hype, and I'll be stopping by again before I leave Albuquerque. If you're craving a fast and good meal, Dog House Drive-In is a must-try!

The Dog House is a fun drive in style local favorite, not to mention famous! Some highlights here are obviously their dogs, specifically the chili and cheese dogs, their chili cheese fries and green chili cheeseburgers! They do have regular dogs and burgers as well if you are looking to ditch the spice.Once you park, a "carhop" will come to you to take your order. I recommend being prepared because if you need a minute, it could take several minutes for them to return. The other issue is that their menu is not easily readable online, I'm not sure why I seemed to find several iterations of their menu but couldn't find the most up to date with items and prices. Cash is best when paying out, but they do accept cards. So what are you waiting for?! Give it a try! I have been several times and will continue to be a patron just keep in mind what I mentioned and you'll be a pro in no time! ;)

Came here and had the chili cheese dog and burger with tots.This spot was on the show breaking bad and while in town checking out filming spots this was the dinner detour for the night.Not expensive not bad and quick service.Can eat inside or get it via drive thru

Well I can't say I'll be back after being a consistent customer for 10 years, it's always a little bit of a wait but 45 minutes of sitting in my car waiting for my order to be taken is ridiculous when it's only 4 cars in the lot, 2 cars pulled in after me and we immediately serviced wtf is this service, then I decided I'll just go in and order after another 20 minutes I got a soggy cold footlong with no cheese just chili my "float" was just ice cream in a cup.

Being featured in these iconic shows adds an extra layer of intrigue to the dining experience, and the atmosphere reflects the gritty yet captivating ambiance of the series... especially at night.Upon entering the dark parking lot, it's hard not to appreciate the nod to Breaking Bad...sadly, the signature neon light was not turned on, so the blacked-out sign sort of left us wanting for that "we drove all this way, and you can't turn your light on?" feeling... But for fans like us, it's like stepping into a piece of television history; it is still a fun, must-see destination for those who followed the adventures of Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, and Saul Goodman.However, my visit to the Dog House was a bit of a mixed bag. One disappointment was the unavailability of their signature hot dogs. It's worth noting that a hot dog joint running out of hot dogs is quite the bummer... maybe that's why the light was off? This limitation significantly impacted our dining choices, as we were left with options like burgers, grilled cheese, drinks, and Frito Pies.The burgers, while not the star of the show, were decent. Cooked to order with a variety of toppings available, they satisfied our hunger but didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. The Frito Pies, on the other hand, were a pleasant surprise. The combination of Fritos, chili, cheese, and other toppings created a flavorful and comforting dish that compensated for the lack of hot dogs. The drink selection was standard, with a variety of sodas to wash down the food. The service was friendly and efficient--as other's have stated, you just pull in and they come out to your car to take your order--but either we went on a slow night, or they're just not that into you anymore. Overall, it couldn't live up to the hype of a TV show, and we knew that going in... I suppose it was still a bit of a letdown overall, when their signature namesake food item was out of stock, the famous sign was dark, and the BB/BCS edge was all played out with our server. Maybe next time. Yo.

This has been my favorite since I was a kid. Since the ART lanes kinda messed up the entrance you just have to flip a u-turn (just wait your turn) service was quick and had I not know what to order in advance they would have helped. You can go inside, I heard it was newly renovated but I had stuff in my car that I didn't want to leave exposed. Just as began writing this review, my food just came out. Chili dog and cheese no yucky onions (my preference) small fries and a small vanilla shake. So good! Just over $11 and while some might say that's expensive, sometimes it's also about the experience and the memories of being young again and coming with your family to sit in the car and eat your chili dog and fries. And if the chili is about to drip off, you just scoop it with a French fry. So yum! The fries have this outer crispiness that makes the great. Thanks for the ketchup I always forget to ask. The milkshake is perfect! It's been here for a very long time and if you like hot dogs, give it a try. I've never tried anything else to be honest cause I know what I love and I enjoy the memories.

Come for the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul nostalgia, stay for the awesome food! Ordered a foot long with the chilli and onions. Spicy and delicious! Got the fries along with it and they were nice and crispy. When we pulled up, it took only a few minutes for one of the servers to approach our car and get our order. And I think it only took about 10 minutes to get our food. So great service at this location as well. I can see why it's such an Albuquerque staple, plus it's right by Old Town Albuquerque so you can hit up that area while you're at the Doghouse as well!

Ordered 2 corn dogs and tater tots - both corn dogs were half raw and the tater tots were cold. so I took it back and they made me 2 new ones - unfortunately they too were half raw- so I just threw them in the trash. Won't be back.

The Dog House is Albuquerque institution. I've eaten there all my life. I usually stop by once every other month or so. The workers are friendly and they always remember me and my family. Great service and hard working.

So I have been wishing for a state fair style corn dog. I was told this is the place to come to. So there is very limited seating, 4 tables. Most people stay in their cars. Located close to downtown and old town. They do not clean the outside tables. You wish they would do that.I think the cool thing is they come out to take your order. If your lucky and get a table they come ask you what you wan to order, so cool!!Yeah, so when you are outside you deal with the flys but that is anyplace you eat outside.So I had the foot long chili cheese with everything. So so good!! Yummy!!Chili cheese fries! Wow! I am so thankful to stop here for the food. Really wish they had some sort of inside seating but the food makes up for it.
