Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center of New Mexico

I have been a patient for a few years now. My skin has been damaged from my Southern California surfing days back in the 70s so believe me when I say I have skin issues . Dr Chang is my Doctor and he has never been wrong on his diagnosis, he is a kind , understanding and a patient man with a unprecedented knowledge of skin care . I highly recommend this company for Dermatology and skin care

Excellent care. I traveled 200 miles to see them. It was worth it. I'm glad I now have a dermatologist I can trust.

Dr Romero is excellent. She explains things well, is very personable and genuinely cares for her patients. It does pay to get an extension of an assistant in case you need to call back for something.

Yesterday was my second time at the office. Both times I had an appointment with Physicians Assistant who called in Dr. Chang during my first appointment. As most dermatologist offices they sometimes have more patients than physicians and there is usually a wait. I have learned to appreciate who and what I have especially when I need treatment

I have seen Dr. Davis three times for MOHS surgery. Each time his expertise and humor puts me at ease. The PA I see is also very good. The new office is a pleasant experience. I recommend this practice.

This is a wonderful facility to receive outstanding care! My Mother and I went today, as I had to have a biopsy on a large rash. The entire team showed such kindness and genuine concern for our well-being. The Receptionist was very welcoming and Miss Marianna, the Medical Assistant who took care of me, was very kind. I was nervous and the medical team treated me so well, they put my mind at ease and were really caring in their approach. Dr. Monica Romero, Physician Assistant Megan Pribyl and Miss Carolyne, PA Pribyl's Medical Assistant, were excellent in their consultation of my skin and meticulous of the biopsy performed. I felt safe with the entire staff and now have peace of mind I haven't had in quite some time. When you don't know what is happening with your health, it means EVERYTHING to have a team who is expertly qualified and equally caring. Friends, come to this facility. It is five-star all around! *****

As a highly trained, experienced health care professional who has extensive surgical experience, I suggest that you seek surgical care elsewhere. I have no confidence in any surgical service provided at that facility. Was appalled that my facial surgery was performed with no subcuticular closure. The provider admitted that he had no experience with such skill. I have seen medical students do better work. Will most likely need to see a plastic surgeon for a scar revision!

I live in Santa Fe and had an appointment for today at 1:30. I might add that I had to take off work, without pay, for this appt. At 12:50, when I had just arrived in Albuquerque, I received a call from the office asking for clarification about why I was coming...a second opinion, a bad reaction from the chemo cream, or more spots needing evaluation. I stated all of the above. When I initially scheduled for the appt I offered to email my photos and records that day so they would have them in advance, but I was told that I did not need to bring any other records because they wold start from scratch with their evaluation. So today all I brought with me were my biopsy reports, which the woman said was not enough and that they would not see me without ALL documents. I couldn't get hold of the Santa Fe office for the records to be faxed, but since I was only a few minutes away from the Skin Cancer Center I thought I would go in and show them the two short notes from my doctor from my phone on MY CHART. Of course when I got there they stated that they would only accept paper copies.I GOT NO APOLOGY, AND NO OFFER TO RESCHEDULE. WHO DOES THAT??? It's stressful enough knowing that my face is covered with cancer, but then to be treated like this???!!! SHAME ON THEM!

Surgery at the center was fine. Trying to get someone on the phone during follow up was an exceptionally long wait - very poor post care costumer care. This appears to be a recurring issue for this business based on the other reviews on Yelp.Center owners - listen to your customers. Fix this!

I had to schedule an appointment in may for the date Aug 2nd. Its the earliest Monday available, because I have to be back at work out of state on Tuesday. Come august, it turns out that they switched the date to Aug 3 and I can't be at the appointment, and they can't reschedule me for four more months. I took off work this weekend to be here and all I got was "nope, your SOL, can we reschedule you for DECEMBER?" Guess I'll just live with skin problems, how am I to be sure when I reschedule this appointment and take off work again in 4 MONTHS that they won't just tell me my appt is a different day? Absolute trash customer service and no feelings of empathy from this office. No wonder the reviews on here are like 2 stars.
