Defined Fitness Bosque Club

Been in and out of this gym since it open. Does need some upgrades and TLC. As a Silver Sneaker member this location offers the few amenities I need. Locker room and access to the good size pool and jacuzzi. One of the big turn-offs has become the sauna room has become pre-warmup for those who go onto exercise area for their routines. In my opinion it's a lazy way to prepare for a workout. You can accomplish breaking a sweat within 10 minutes on a stationary bike and benefit from the cardio by opening your pores/sweat prior to your workout to achieve a better benefits for your routine, and the reason you are there.Sauna should be in my opinion after working-out to helps reduce tension in the joints and relieve sore muscles. Saunas might also help those with chronic pain and arthritis, should be the conclusion of your workout. Another feature lost at this location after many years is the steam room, very dis appointing.this location is slowly turning into a Planet Fitness!

Of course, the pool at the Bosque club is closed again and no information on the app. Why even is there an app? There is a paucity of useful information.

I used to be huge fan of Sports and Wellness but they became too proud of their club and the price outpaced the offerings. I've come to defined and haven't looked back. It's a gym for real workouts. The classes are great too! Lots of testosterone but it's not over the top. Cool atmosphere, great service and ultra clean.

So I was super excited to feel good enough to finally rejoin a gym this past week, but @defined_fitness Bosque club decided these assholes' comfort was more important than each and every other person in the gym, our safety, the safety of our families and friends and coworkers and their families...you know, basically everyone because that's how virulent communicable diseases with work...the safety of their employees' families, friends, coworkers, etc. They have these really pretty decorative signs all over their doors that say "Masks are required at all times. Must be worn over the nose and mouth" which is pretty confusing seeing as how the signs mean nothing. Before I joined last week, I asked for a tour and specified that I was particularly concerned about covid-safe practices and was assured that non-mask wearers were not allowed to stay in the gym. Look how well that's going! I'm including a photo of the class instructor because, as these patriots for covid removed their masks, she did not ONCE ask them directly to mask but did react super well to me shouting over the loud music (so she could hear me because that's how loud music works ‍) telling her that I was immunocompromised with cancer and to pleeeeeeeease enforce the mask rule...by telling me not to ruin the class for everyone else. Oh? At the front desk I was told I can take my money elsewhere, which I am going to do. What a bunch of fitness winners! So! Does anyone have a gym in town they like that actually understands health and science and customer service and decency and mandates? Seeking recommendations! #definedfitness #definedfitnessriverside

I've been going to this gym for 10 years and I've always had a pleasant experience ! The place is very clean and the machines and weights are always well-kept. I look forward to talking with the manager Josh Padilla ! He is such a sweetie pie and always makes my day :)

If you want to live in the 1940s and dive into a pool of toxic masculinity, this gym is for you. I am a man that came in wearing a crop top, and one of the personal trainers thought I wasn't going to hear him because I was wearing headphones. I didn't have any music playing yet and he tells the another young boy "you don't have a shirt like this?" And starts pointing and laughing at me. Sad part is that he is bald with a beer belly. He also brings along young boys to workout with him. I hope they don't learn from his ways. He needs to start worrying less about me and start working on himself. I won't cancel my membership because I refuse to let someone push me out of a space where I enjoy to workout. Just be prepared to face people like him. It's 2022, these people need to get with the times.

All the machines are always broken. Some of their treadmills have been broken for over a month at this point. Only about half of their machines work at this point. Back in the summer their AC was out and it was miserable to just be there. Don't recommend at all!

Closest too early. It takes a month minimum to fix equipment.It's a lot cleaner now that it's empty of new members.

I had not been to this location lately. It was great. Thr locker rooms,pool,whirpool were clean and working. It wasn't real busy so I had the pool to myself. I used to go to this gym alot and I'll be going more often. It's better than the Sandia gym. It's very clean and Sami the new manager is doing a great job. This gym is the best kept secret in town!

Mesa club is beautiful, Hilltop club is beautiful, Bosque club is tired, worn and overdue for rehab. The space is one big box of equipment jammed together with no imagination. The equipment is dated and uninspiring; many are 'taking a rest day' and that rest day can stretch on for weeks and months. Too many of the machines are not working properly or are missing a cushion/handle/grip etc. The sauna is too small and lacks both a clock and a temperature display- isn't that illegal? Ask at the desk and no one is sure what the temperature actually is, or should be! This club cranks a LOT of members through its doors- and it is seriously overdue for a tune up. Why is it taking so long?
