My family and I recently recently ordered carry out for a relative's birthday. We all love Indian cuisine and so we're very much looking forward to throwing a major munch. We ordered Vegetable Biriyani, Chicken Makhani, Chicken Korma, Saag Paneer, Chicken Vindaloo, and Garlic Naan. The food was spicy and delicious with a wonderful hint of warmth from a bit of spicy chili thrown into each and every dish. My mouth is watering just reminiscing about such a wonderful meal.Given that we ordered a lot of food, we thought it would take quite a while to get our order. We were pleasantly surprised when they indicated that the order would be ready in approximately 20 to 25 minutes. When we arrived, the food was ready and we were able to grab it and go. Although we didn't eat in this time, I've have eaten in the restaurant one time before. The ambience is really nice with lots of large windows and natural light. They also have a smokin buffet with lots of great choices if you're ever in the mood for a great Indian buffet.I will definitely be back to the Curry Leaf. I had forgotten how wonderful their food is. They also give you nice portions, no matter what you order. Your tastebuds will absolutely be in love with you if you decide to give this place a shot! I highly recommend The Curry Leaf.

I came here for lunch by myself on a friday around 12:30 pm. There were a few tables occupied, more filled while i was there. This is probably my fourth time over the years. There appears to be new owners. The atmosphere is consistenly lovely. I had the buffet with a glass of wine and garlic naan. The food is delicious though i noted the salad was very limited with lettuce and a few mini carrot s.I did not feel welcome at all. The owners (and the waiter) were not personable or friendly at all, unlike in the past.P.s. see my first review.P.p.s buffet is now $15.99!12.99 or $13.99 would have been much better...

This is my first time here. It is a small place and it looks new. I am here for lunch. Clearly most people eat from the buffet. I wanted to order from the menu and that threw them off a bit. They brought me a check as if I had finished and I had to ask for a menu (for the third time). They were very very apologetic when they realized their mistake. The tables have tablecloths and the napkins are very soft, which I like. As 1:00 approaches, the place is definitely emptying out in a significant way. I do see where multiple small tables could be moved together for groups. If you have a big group, I would definitely call ahead, otherwise it might be too busy to seat you. I see someone with a to go order in a foil tray. That is much better than adding more plastic to the ocean. There is a small selection of beer and wine. The food menu is very much in line with other Indian food places in the area. I ordered chicken tika masala. I also ordered plain Nan. It is delicious. The house Chardonnay is exactly as expected from a house wine. The bathrooms are a sink and a toilet behind a locked door. The one labeled women has a piece of furniture that looks like you might be able to change a baby on it. The one labeled male has grab bars for transferring from a wheelchair. Perhaps it doesn't occur to them to make both of them unisex. The people seem to be very nice. I will definitely come again.

Lunchtime another Indian buffet works for me. Interior of this place is understated, but tables have a nearly fine dining place setting. We were there towards the end of the buffet time so as expected the food was just warm. The naan was fresh & hot. The buffet selections were adequate and offered some of the staples and a few things not seen before. The majority of food displayed were vegan/vegetarian. There was enough meat to keep this carnivore interested. I liked the Chicken Makhani (tandoori chicken in a tomato sauce with herbs) It was delicious with a little heat. A good food with reasonable prices make for a nice lunch.

Indian Buffet? Count me in! They serve lunch buffet everyday and on Wednesdays they offer the dinner buffet. Love their chai, love their food, love the prices. Highly recommend! There is a private parking lot available which is very convenient. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you love this type of cuisine then Curry Leaf MUST be on your list!

So here's my preamble... I was born and raised in South Africa, and in New York City, so needless to say, I have had some excellent exposure to real Indian cooking, which is pretty hard to find outside of a couple of major American cities.I was seriously blown away by the dinner that we ordered the other night. An excellent chicken masala, buttery, creamy and just filled with excellent spice. A knockout Madras fish curry that was fresh and flavorful. I have yet to try their lamb offerings, but I am guessing they are extraordinarily good, and I am going to go back for it in the next couple of days. So many American style Indian restaurants just dial it in, but this place is the real deal. Do yourself a favor and go.

We were looking for an alternative to our usual Indian choice in ABQ and found this place. We didn't go with the buffet, as most people do, but ordered off the menu. Our food was good but very spicy! We ordered mild, and every restaurant has their version of mild. I'm a spice wuss and if we went back, I'd order whatever is below mild. :-)The staff was attentive and friendly.

If you like MSG, this restaurant is for you. Unfortunately, my wife and I don't. I believe that it is under new management and who ever owns it now needs some help. The lunch buffet used to be amazing but it isn't now!
