Culture club has been my salon of choice for a few years now. I've seen about three different hairstylist during that time I've stayed because I really like the salon.I love having an excuse to go out to Los Ranchos. It's a little bit of a drive for me, but I just love the area. My most recent visit was for a prescheduled haircut. I've been trying to get on a more regular schedule and they recommend you get a cut just about once a quarter. I really didn't feel like I needed a haircut and I was almost regretting even making the appointment but once I got finished, I was amazed at how much hair she took off. We didn't do anything dramatic but my hair is on the thicker side it's great to get off the deadweight.

I was looking for a stylist that could work with my curly hair. Culture Club Salon was recommended so I called and put an appointment. I was impressed by the ambience of the salon but the best impression was by the professionalism I received by the staff and Kayla, who was my stylist. We sat and discussed what I was looking for which was a hair color and she gave me several options and ideas. Then Kayla set to work. She made me feel very comfortable and let me know all the steps and wait times along the way. The result I received was fabulous. I loved my hair. I highly recommend Culture Club Salon and I have made this my salon from now on and of course I will see Kayla again. Thank you Culture Club see you soon! #1 Fan!

***************We're new to Albuquerque, so finding "her people" is something which is important to my wife. There's no drama around the search, but I knew she was searching, reading online reviews, trying to separate fact-from-fiction. Then she found it:Thank You Culture Club ~ and Yvette in particular. Wow!!!~ my wife's hair couldn't look any better, and she couldn't be happier. And now that she's found her people (Yvette), and it feels like my wife has settled into the community nicely. Great experience with a professional staff, in a very nice setting, providing exceptional results. Thank You ~ from a very appreciative husband....

Gosh, this place As soon as I walked in I was like omg this place is soooo beautiful!! Think "boho chic"- lots of gorgeous plants, hanging ivy, neutral colors, open layout, airy, velvet and leather seating-honestly it is the perfect manifestation of Pinterest come to life. Safe to say this place is totally my vibe just on the aesthetics alone. I brought my 11 year old daughter for a cut as well. We both had the best time and the cutest haircuts. Manni even took the time to explain to my daughter how to achieve her style at home Price point is perfect- about $45 a cut but that includes cut, wash, and style. I was easily there 45 minutes-1 hour for my hair alone and then another 45 minutes for my daughter. I will definitely be coming back!

This review is delayed, but it has taken me a while to get the nerve to say what I need to say. It's really hard to give a bad review about a service when a person and/or place has historically been very amazing. In August I had a really bad experience. To be fair my "transformational haircut" was booked in June. I have seen Nayo before, loved it, loved her. I sent photos, and we talked about it. However when the appointment came up she had to cancel and rebook. I was booked in August. I booked the last appointment of the day, so we had time. Context: I was 1 year postpartum. My hair is finally growing back. But my baby is grabbing it and I've done a "pixie" cut before and wanted to go back to it. I have had an undercut for years, Nayo has worked with me. The day of: I show up 15 minutes early. She gets to me 20 minutes late. No biggie, the location, staff, and atmosphere are chill. I start talking about my cut, and I came with my curl down & dry. I also had the images to work from. Nayo seems fairly bothered about my indecisiveness-- I needed her guidance. She also didn't remember we had already gone over things and seemed bothered, I had to remind her we went over this and she canceled on me. She begins to cut 1/2 the amount I want. She goes to great lengths with texture, product, curling and a blow/dry. I'm thinking "this is way longer than I want but perhaps she is being safe, not sorry." But then she sits me back down in her chair. She does a diagonal cut to the short length I wanted. Sticky, long & small hairs are sticking to me. I am in shock. She asks me how I like it, and I tell her "I think it's bulky or blunt." She tells me "I can tell you this is NOT a blunt cut." Maybe I was using the wrong words, she needed to texture the straight/diagonal cut she did on my head. YES, she spent time doing texture and then cut a straight line right through that. Her co-workers are checking in with her to see when she will be done. I ask her if I'm keeping her from something, trying to hint that I feel really rushed. She assures me "I'm fine" and it's just some prep they are doing for something later. Again she asks me how I feel about my cut, I tell her "when a blade cuts at one length my curls will bind together and make one bulk curl" and I felt like it was bulky. She tells me again, this time more sure, "this is NOT a blunt cut." I'm embarrassed at this point. I lie. I tell her it's great. I pay my almost $200, she wants to rebook me, I tell her "I feel like I stressed you out, is there anyone else in the shop who might want to do short curly hair like mine?" To which she says "no, I'm the transformational specialist." I even asked about someone who I saw cutting a pixie cut while I was there and she said, "well no." She rebooks me for October and go home. I'm crying. When I get home I see she didn't even attempt to taper around my ears, where my ears are now showing-- I'm not asking for design clipper work, just not long hairs touching my ears on a pixie cut. I shower because sticky (tons of product) hair is all over me, my clothing, and it won't come off. I try to mimic curling my curly hair but BECAUSE she styled my hair, dried my hair, and then did a 5 inch cut the curl is not the same. Of course my hair is never going to curl like that again because the weight of the long hair gave it the curl that she then cut off into the pixie cut. I'm devastated. What made me finally write this is I got the nerve to cancel the October appointment. I was rushed. My needs were ignored. Even my message of "perhaps going to someone else" was not heard. I've been coping with my hair since the cut. I even got clippers on my own to clean around my own ears. I then put texture on the area that caused huge bulk around one part of my head. I spent 2 hours to fix it. I've spent months coping with it. I don't feel safe going back. I love the atmosphere, products, and personalities-- but it's hard to be honest nowadays when something is really wrong. Especially when you've tried to be honest, and been knocked down. I don't think I'll be going back, unless Jen comes back or they have someone who wants to spend time on something so personal.

What an adorable salon! Set off of 4th street with ample parking and lots of charm. I was so happy to see Kayla again as she cuts and colors my hair better than anyone I've ever gone to. Kayla takes her time to consult with you before starting anything! She is attentive and goes over your concerns, desires and expectations. I left the salon with soft and shiny hair sporting a new balayage and trim. The salon has Covid-19 protocol in place for all of its customers. A signed waiver is required before entering, temperature check is taken at the door and masks are required at all times. The one and only thing I noted was that for all of their "caution" with the customers 3 different delivery people at 3 different times walked right in to deliver packages. I would think the delivery protocol could be adjusted to keep everyone safe.

Working with Yvette is always a blessing. I follow her wherever she goes. This salon is SO chic. & so cute. & they did so well with following guidelines and making everyone's experience great even with all the restrictions and shit downs. They were closed for awhile but still doing so well. Here's multiple hits we've taken and chosen to play with while doing my hair at the salon! Go see Yvette you will not be disappointed! I always tell her "do what you want"! The women in the salon have always laughed and said I wish my clients would let me do that! Haha. She's that good. :D

I had an appointment with Sara. She barely looked at me as I was showing her my current cut and what I wanted. She was not friendly, welcoming or despite my efforts, wanting any sort of chit chat. My hair is naturally curly with large sausage curls, my one asset. She brushed my curls against the way they naturally flow and I ended up with a frizzy mess. I had to re wet it with their supplies and lightly scrunch to regain the natural curl. Very odd for a stylist who knows curly hair. Bless her, curly hair is NOT her area. Natural curls only need a good cut-this stylist is NOT who you want to trust your hair with curly or not I think. Maybe it wasn't her day but unfortunately that ruined mind also. Thank god my hair will grow. Hopefully she will too. I've spoken with the owner and she has agreed to refund me which is commendable. I
