Comfort Solutions of New Mexico

I called Comfort Solutions on Monday (Heating issues) for a rental (winter season) they were not able to make it out until Friday. I had scheduled an appointment for a specific time (when I was off of work) but the technician arrived while I was at work (3 hours early) so the tenant let them in. I was grateful that they did make it to the rental but it was very difficult to speak to him while I was at work. Bottom Line: Anyone using this company:  Labor includes the time it takes to go get the part.  I was informed that after the technician arrived and diagnosed the possible problem.  I was told that they do not keep very many items in their truck, and they charge for the time to order or to go get the part whether it is at their place of business or if they have to run to a store to purchase. Hourly charge is @ $135 an hour.  An hour later the part arrived.  $135 just to go get the part! Technician was friendly enough the tenant said, seemed knowledgeable and fixed the problem.  I was unhappy about the charge to go get the part and the time he charged.  I called to discuss with the owner for some type of discount, but they would not budge and said that is their policy whether they mentioned their pricing to us or not prior to going out. $135 for a possible diagnosis, $135 for work to fix + $135 to go get the part and $123.63 for part (that we did not get a copy of the invoice for so I am not sure where he picked it up) plus tax for the entire bill. Tenant said he was only at the unit for a total of 45 - 60 minutes.

I was referred to Comfort Solutions by a friend. I have dealt with Jason, the owner for years now. He is one of the most honest businessmen I have ever met. He does excellent work and is very fair. He has been to my house numerous times for plumbing, heating and air conditioning. Great guy, excellent work, trustworthy. It is hard to find people like Jason.

Comfort Solutions was responsible for installing all the plumbing work in my new house. It ranged from laying out the initial plumbing and natural gas rough in to putting in all the fixtures, installing the water heater, the central water filter and the water softener.Comfort Solutions did not follow the construction plan in laying out the plumbing routes, some of the faucet locations were installed wrong and had to be corrected. During the plumbing fixture installation phase, they did not flush the lines properly resulting in clogged water lines, requiring subsequent warranty repairs to change out faucet parts. They were not good in following up what they said they would do, I had to follow up with the faucet manufacturer to obtain repair parts. I wound up replacing some parts myself instead of calling them back to complete the warranty work.
