We stopped by on a Saturday evening for some drinks and a live Jazz performance and absolutely loved every bit of it.Our cocktails were delicious and food even better. Although we didn't make any reservations before walking in, we were able to find a seat comfortably and our servers were wonderful

Unexpectedly delicious- La Cantina does not have a Mexican bone on the menu!! It does have Greek- Africa- Morocco- Italy on the menu. I had the best lamb gyro I think I have ever had and I have been to Greece. Service was friendly and inviting- This is also my first Margarita passport stamp- The Nooner was perfect for lunchtime cocktails- I would have liked a little more Elderberry liquor- but it was good.

Stopped in for a pre dinner cocktail a little before 6 on a Thursday. We specifically said we just wanted a drink when checking in with the host. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order and then waited another 30 minutes for our drinks before leaving. Drinks never came.

When we first saw the patio we thought it was a very charming place to eat . Unfortunately the the food didn't come up to par. It's a pricey restaurant, which is fine , if the meal is good. Ours was not . The veggie plate was beautifully presented but no flavor. The Branzino and the lamb did not have good flavor , so my conclusion has to be not quality food because neither of these dishes take much to make them wonderful !I hate giving a negative review but in this case I feel I should .

We've enjoyed going to Casa Sena Cantina for many years. We returned last night for the first time awhile. It was kind of a mixed experience. The restaurant was almost empty on a Thursday night. Maybe this wasn't surprising as we nearly always came during the busy summer months in the past. This time, it's mid September. We enjoy the Cantina more for the music than the food. Again, possibly because of the time of the year, the musical offering was pretty light. There were only 3 singers, each of whom sang 2 songs. Half of the songs weren't the traditional Broadway show tunes. They were good but not what we were hoping for. So that was a bit disappointing. The food was fine. I've always found it to be very expensive. My wife and I started with the Caesar salad. It was a very good salad, topped with white anchovies. My wife wanted to order the special (pasta with shrimp) but they ran out. Kind of surprising, given the light crowd. Instead, she got the sea bass, which she liked. I ordered the mussels off of the appetizer menu. It's a very large serving of mussels prepared with a spicy broth that had chorizo and jalapeños in it. Not particularly traditional but pretty tasty. Two of my mussels weren't opened. The third in our party ordered the pan fried salmon. She said it was very good. With 2 drinks each for my wife and I, the bill came to over $200. Ordinarily, I would not have considered it a $200 meal. And with the light music offering, I must say I was not as happy with the Cantina as in the past. Still, I'm giving it 4 stars because we still had an enjoyable night and will definitely return, probably at a busier time of year.

Check before you go but Club Legato, adjacent to La Casa Sena, has wonderful jazz in season Wednesday - Saturday evenings. Possibly music Sunday evening too? Very good and reasonably priced food, wine, and specialty drinks. We loved this place, went 3 different nights we were in town (March 2024), twice for light dinner, once for a drink after dinner elsewhere. Santa Fe generally has terrific restaurants. Great music, great atmosphere, very friendly local feel.

It's a pleasure to have a jazz club in Santa Fe so oneCan alwaya go listen when the mood strikes--assuming it strikes on Thursday through Saturday nights. Goos food too, and a singles table where you can meet people and not have to listen alone.

Always a great experience for us! Food is tasty and imaginative. Drinks are always fabulous (even the mock tails)! The jazz is ALWAYS so enjoyable, whether it's the Ron White Trio alone or backing one of the many talented musicians who show up. So glad this place is here.
