Clear Light the Cedar Company

How in the world do you get ahold of this company? They processed my card back in July (through square) for $38, then again in September for products I have never received. Can't get through on the telephone, their email link on the website does not work. I loved their products years ago, but their customer service is seriously lacking! I even called Tamaya as well as Ojo Caliente, they no longer carry the Cedar Light products. What is going on? So disappointed!

Like so many others who have left reviews of Cedar Light, I have never received my order from Nov 2023, and it's now the end of March 2024. Of course, the company or any of its subsequent owners have shipped my products or refunded my money.I have tried follow-up email messages, phone calls, and customer service requests on their then-functioning website. As of today, their website is not working at all.What was once a wonderful company with excellent products has turned into a customer scam.

Refuses to send me the products I pre-ordered back in Oct 2023. They won't answer my messages. They won't respond to my emails. They won't answer my many phone calls. This company USED to be a great company but now they just scam people. Last year I received emails with excuses from the owner's mother had cancer to anyone who used SHOP orders were lost. They even posted pics on their Facebook page of "late orders going out". What a HUGE SCAM!!!! They were happy to take my money but now they won't send me my products. Order number 10887. Terrible, awful company that used to be the pinnacle in the field.

My daughter paid $114 for 3 oz of the cedar oil and has not received anything, not even a message stating there's a delay. What's up Clear Light, I've ordered from you for 50 years, but the past few years have had NO success? Serious problem taking money with no product. Beware people who think they'll order!

Do not buy from this company! They have gone from a reputable company from the '90s to scam artists. They process your payment immediately and then never send you the product. I have tried contacting them every way possible short of flying from Chicago to their New Mexico office and pounding on their door. They are completely unresponsive. Still waiting for an order I placed on 6/21. I've given them lots of chances to do the right thing but on 8/3 I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to try to get my money back. Clear Light Cedar Co used to be wonderful. Joshua Peine started it and the product quality and customer service were great. The current owner, Keith Allen West, took this successful business with a loyal fan base and ran it into the ground. You can easily find him on the Internet (he's an actor) and he actively posts (videos etc) on Instagram. He has a few businesses that are aliases of Clear Light and research reveals bad customer service reviews on all of them. Keith Allen West is not an honest person. Protect yourself and do not buy from this or any of his other companies!I have posted negative reviews on Google & Yelp. Also, I have filed a complaint and submitted a review with the Better Business Bureau.

Great products but a bit pricey. That said, my one star rating is based on their lack of response to my numerous emails and phone messages for nearly a year now regarding an order (#10948) I placed on 10/25/2023. Therefore, I feel if they can't even make one little reply to messages they don't deserve my, or anyone else's, business. The two telephone numbers I've left messages with are no longer in service. It just seems things over there at Cleat Light are a bit dicey these days so order at your own risk. I'm going to miss the cedar body lotion.

They charged my Apple credit card and I didn't get the product I ordered. Called today, phone is out of service. Ordered through email I got from them.

From what I've discovered, Clear Light Cedar Company owned by Joshua Paine, closed permanently in 2017. I am going to file a fraud report with the Attorney General in Albuquerque New Mexico. The company's phone is disconnected and I called a business with the same address as theirs and there is no such company in the same building. I am going to file a fraud claim with the New Mexico Attorney General's office. I suggest we all do this as the Attorney General is more likely to take action if there are multiple claims.

I wish I could give negative stars! I placed an order on December 1, 2023, for a Christmas gift for my brother who told me he likes the Clear Light cedar lotion. I received a confirmation email and my credit card was immediately charged. Since then, I have received 3 emails promising me that their "elves" were working hard to fulfill orders, as well as receiving multiple text messages updating the tracking number for my order. When I sent the company an email on December 26, 2023 after not receiving my order, I received a reply email 2 days later saying "We fulfilled your order [...] 14 days ago and would love to get your feedback." Well, I NEVER RECEIVED my order, and the tracking number reflects that a label was created, but USPS is still awaiting the package!This review - and many similar that I will leave on other sites, as well as with the Better Business Bureau - is my response to Clear Light NM to reflect their lack of professionalism in responding to orders, as well as their attempt to gaslight me in sending an email affirming that my order was fulfilled when it was not. The owners of the company are nothing but shameful scammers and does not reflect well on their "New Mexico true" designation. I can only hope that the number of bad reviews and complaints that I have seen will attract the attention of the Attorney General in hopes that the company will lose its business license and prevent further scamming in the future. As for the actions of the company's owner(s) and employees, karma will take care of them in the future.

Never received my order which was placed on October 29th, 2023. Called and left over 10 messages. Emailed so many times I can't remember! Never a call back, or an email back. They processed my payment of $48.00 + $8.00 shipping. Today is the 11th of February!!!! Still haven't heard a word or received my product. Very frustrating, and makes me angry they have my money !!!! Thieves , !!! Don't expect to have any kind of communication from them. I have ordered 2 other items from them in the past. Still the same issue. I did receive those items 2 to 3 months later. Don't know why I tryed again. Good luck if you choose to deal with this lame so Called company!!
