Green chile turkey pot pie and corn bread - good but exceedingly mild piquancy
The Reuben was sooo good. And the potato salad had mayo and mustard. Really good! Our waiter Caesar was great.

Christy Mae's serves up exactly what you'd expect from an All American diner! My friends and I were craving a cozy meal, and we all came for the chicken pot pie. We stopped by on a Friday evening and received prompt and friendly service. Even though Christy Mae closes relatively early (~8pm), our group appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality from start to finish, despite arriving later than we hoped.By the time we placed our order, Christy Mae's only had one chicken pot pie available, which I was lucky to enjoy as an out-of-state guest. My two friends ordered the Turkey and Green Chile Pot Pie, which our server suggested and spoke highly of! Portions were huge, and our meals were well priced. If I could change anything, I'd recommend more seasoning, but overall, I left very satisfied!

Lunchtime & here we are. this place is good ole country style comfort food. A break from places we normally go to. Lots on the menu. In addition to comfort food, NM cuisine is represented. It's the Reuben Sandwich and Chicken Tenders. The Reuben Sandwich was piled high with primarily meat. It almost seems like veggies were an afterthought. Of course there's another slice of bread in between The piles of meat. Mine was messy - for me not a bad thing. It was definitely moist. The tenders were good, & moist. Their consistency was similar to what you might get from some fast food places. Again not a complaint. I can see why they're busy and been around for 40 yrs. Good service from friendly servers, country kitchen atmosphere with excellent comfort food.

Absolutely fantastic service, incredible food and an amazing experience. We were offered free samples of their green chilie soup, their nacho cheese and their homemade ranch dressing, all of which were top tier and delicious! My wife had the Albuquerque turkey sandwich and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We both were impressed and plan on returning very soon!

Since the 1980's when we found them, they have always had a folksy country charm. without all the folksy country judgments. The food is never so amazing im shouting its existence from the trees, but its always solid, and warm, and really comforting like a big hug.. It so often shoots under my radar being not new, and not exotic. but really pretty much everything they make is good, the place is always pretty well staffed, and friendly. I am now tempted to shout it from the treetops because its good to remember the little places that are not the new and exotic.

My first time eating here and I was pleased with my meal. I chose to order Aunt Jane's Smothered Chicken, which came with two pieces of chicken breasts topped with grilled onions, mushrooms and melted jack cheese. It came served atop wild rice with a side of broccoli, under salted but I just added that myself. Everything was tasty and a good portion for the cost. Our server was sweet and friendly. The restaurant is country comfortable and clean. And the peach pie was good, too. I'd go back.

While in town for work, we were looking for some a homestyle dinner on a chilly night. That led us to Christy Mae's. The ambiance is definitely old south with a Cracker Barrel-esque interior. The patrons in the restaurant skewed a little older and many appeared to be locals. We ordered the chicken pot pie and beef stew, both with cornbread. The chicken pot pie was full of tender chicken and vegetables in a cream sauce topped with a flaky pastry dough. It was a good size portion and very tasty and seasoned well. The beef stew was similarly seasoned well but a little light on the beef compared to the pot pie. The flavor of the broth was great though. Each soup was served with two slices of fruit and some honey cornbread. The cornbread was moist, tender, and has a sweetness from the honey. Slathered in butter and topped with a little salt, it was a delicious bite. We ordered some carrot cake to go and it was pretty standard. Good, sweet icing, but nothing that was amazing. Service was good until the very end. Our server forgot about the cake and didn't see me try to get his attention multiple times. Not sure what happened there but we went to the front to pay and ordered the cake from the cashier.

Had a quick bite here a couple of days ago. Driven by a million times and decided to try it out. The service quick, attentive, and very nice. I can tell this is a fave of the locals with a great age range of customers.I had "The Sheepherder" a sandwich/wrap of corned beef, green chile, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomatoes in flour tortilla. It was pretty good, and the banana bread side Was a tasty compliment Also, most give 2 thumbs up for the cinnamon spiced orange tea. A misty taste drink! High recommendThanks for a tasty nosh!

I was looking forward to eating here as it has been several years since I've had my favorite chicken salad croissant sandwich. Disappointed to say that they no longer serve it with alfalfa sprouts nor walnuts in their homemade mixture. Had a side of potato salad and it was pretty bland. BFF had a country fried steak sandwich with a side of potato salad and he said it was good but not anything to write home about. As for service, it wasn't bad but it was a little slow; however, they were busy.

A new place, a new adventure to find delicious food! Christy Mae's has been in our radar for a while, as a friend who lived here many years ago recommended it. We went on a Sunday and the restaurant had a pretty casual, quiet, family oriented, chill vibe similar to Village Inn. Service was quite friendly and welcoming. The menu had a bit of southern comfort and New Mexican options. The food was ok. I tried the enchiladas which had good flavor but did not feel different from other places in town. This made me less excited about taking a picture of my food. Overall, Christy Mae's has a good location with a feel-good vibe and ok food if you live or work around the area.
